Hello,
You can turn it on and use it as a simple calculator to perform additions, multiplications, division and so on. But if you really want to take advantage of its capabilities you need to consult the book. Click here (user guide) to access it.
No need to read it like a novel: Read a chapter, practice the exemples and if you feel like it move to another part.
Hope it helps.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
goodluck!

### I cant find my L1 buttom in ti 89

There isn't one. Unlike the TI-83/84, the TI-89 lets you use any name for lists. If you want a list (or any other item) named "L1" you can spell it out by pressing ALPHA 4 1.

### My Ti-89 is not giving the right answer for cosine. I typed in the cos(42) and it gave me -.39985 when it is supposed to be posotive .74314. Does anyone know what is wrong?

Nothing's wrong, your calculator is giving you the cosine of 42 radians. If you want the cosine of 42 degrees (which is 0.74314), press MODE, down-arrow to the "Angle" line, press right-arrow, select "2:DEGREE", and press ENTER twice.

### I have a ti-89, but my professor is using a ti-83. the ti-83 has a "stat" button, what would that be on the ti-89?

I meant what are you trying to do? There is not a stat button (that I know of) on the TI 89, but I can guarantee you that there is a way to do what you want to.

### Find the antilog on the TI-83 Plus for finding pH in chemistry problems

I reccently had the same problem, but I have a Ti-84 Plus, and I am disgusted by how poorly this matter is covered by Texas Intruments. Esp. since the solution is rather simple.

The antilog key is [2nd] [log] or the 10^x. On your screen it should apear as 10^( and then you just input the value that you want to find the antilog of.

When used to solve pH problems remember to input the pH value as a negative number, since pH= -log[H+] then [H+]= antilog(-pH).

Hope that helped))))) ^^
