Question about Intel D845GVSR Motherboard
Do the following to check motherboard.
1. Take out all cards from motherboard except video card. Unplug ribbons to CD-Roms, hard drives and floppy drives.
2. The only thing plugged into your motherboard should be video, keyboard and ram.
3. Check once again that all the power connectors from the power supply are properly plugged in. There may be two or three of them depending on the type of motherboard. Try turning on system. If you get no response then try next option.
4. Find the wire coming from your power on button and trace it to the motherboard. Pull the wire off and use a screwdrive to short between the two posts. If the power button is bad this should start the computer. If not your motherboard is probably toast.
