i have a sandisk cruzer micro 8 gb. when i plug it in, the led continuously lights, no blinking nor fading in/out. Windows doesn't recognize it, actually it gives a plugged in sound and just after that a plugged out sound.

I"ve seen a couple of these do this and the flash disc is broken and not working. Probably nothing you can do to fix it.
