The lens on the Samsung L200 is half way between out and in, also the camera does not switch on however when the power button is pressed, the blue light does show.

Hi

The problem with the lens may be due to dust or due to the problem of aperture (if it was due to this then the solution will be the change of the lens).Else if this due the dust then proper cleaning of camera will solve the problem.

Also make it sure the battery is properly charged.

And if you face any problem then please get back to me.

All the best.

My samsung L200 digital camera fell down on the lens part and now its stuck what can i do?

Try all of the below methods only if your camera is out of warranty. If it is still under warranty, DO NOT pull on your lens while turning the camera on, whatever you do; you will destroy it, guaranteed.
Be especially careful when dismantling a camera to avoid an electric shock.all the circuitry boards contain cmos technology components, that will fail if not operated on in a esp safe enviroment,
do not remove the covers in any case. even if you would manage to free the lensblock you will do damage to the circuitry board just by exposing it to static electricity.
  1. First, make sure your camera has fresh batteries and it is in recording mode.
  2. Remove the batteries from the camera, wait for a couple of minutes, then put them back in and turn the camera on.
  3. Try compressed air. With a fine tip blow off gun and dry compressed air (20 lbs) set the tip between the lens turret and the camera body and turn on the air while moving the tip around the lens. It should remove all dust and sand. Turn the camera on and it should function fine.
  4. Another method is to tap the padded USB cover part on a hard surface, for example, a desk. Sounds simple, but it works.
  5. Try forcing the camera lens. Turn off the camera. Place it on the back with the lens facing up and take a look at the spacing between the lens and the lens housing. If you notice that the gap is not even all the way around the lens, the problem should be easy to fix. This type of a problem usually occurs if the camera was dropped while the lens was extended. Simply - VERY GENTLY - press down the lens on the side where the gap is the biggest. You should hear a click as it pops back into place. If the lens is stuck at an angle, put the edge of the lens not the flat front, on the edge of a table and press the lens back towards the center. It will either click back in place and work or it will break off one of the three pins that ride in the grooves of the lens barrel. Try powering the camera back on.
  6. If the lens doesn't extend at all or it extends and then retracts again, do the following. Turn the camera off. Take the camera in one hand and with the other gently take one part of the lens and gently move it round in a circular movement. Do so with both sections of the lens. You will hear a click as it pops back in place. Power the camera on.
  7. Another version of this fix would be to pull and twist on the largest ring of the lens while turning the camera on. Listen for a click. If at first the focus seems to be off, turn the camera on and off and take lots of pictures, close ups and distance. Focus should slowly start improving.
  8. If none of the methods work, you can dismantle the camera and try to clean the lens. .

My l200 camara lens is stuck

huSh now :( I remember my former camera.. XD

Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interferingwith the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped withthe lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens hadbeen blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with thelens extended ...

Here's some things that you can do to try to correct it. They only seemto work for less than 50% of the lens errors, but if the camera is outof warranty, they're worth a try:

Samsung L200

Sounds like your lens has been mis-aligned, if a lens on these types of cameras is jolted or knocked around it will mis-align the lens or take it out of calibration. The best thing to does is take it to a camera shop and have them look at it

Hi Bruno,

[ENGLISH]
first, try to reset the camera to factory defauts. Your memory card maybe corrupted as well, try to format it on the other camera. Another issue is when lens get stuck. Check if the lens go in and out of the camera smoothly. Good luck!

[BRAZILIAN PORTUGUESE]
Olá Bruno, como você parece ser brasileiro como eu, vamos em português também. Tenta resetar a câmera e formatar o cartão de memória. Vê se as lentes não estão emperradas e se elas entram e saem da câmera de forma bem suave. Boa sorte!
