Question about GE (PSS26MSRSS) Side by Side Refrigerator
Depending on the model of the icemaker if you pop the front cover off there should be a screw with - and + symbols. Just turn it about half a turn towards the - symbol and that should take care of the problem

SOURCE: Ice Maker Overflowing
i would recommend changing the water valves as they may be sticking or leaking now you can take the icemaker loose get a small baby bottle short the terminals to cycle water fill catch it with the bottle and see how much water it dumps should be about 4 ounces if the valve leaks will over fill the ice maker over a period of time say the valve is leaking a few drops at a time and the bail arm has the icemaker shut off because its touching ice in the bin but the water just keeps dripping down the fill tube till it runs over did you replace the whole icemaker or just the motor module

if water is running in, your tubes are not frozen. More than likely it is the arms that eject the ice are not working and turning to move them out. Check that. Ours were moving some, but not all the way around. We called someone out and they said it would be $500 to fix. We ordered the part online after calling the company and getting the part number, it was a $110, looked up the manual online, it took 3 screws removed and 1 connection and me and my mom replaced it. Not as hard as the tell you, just get online and find the manual that tells you how. I promise not hard, we were very proud of ourselves!!

I have had a similar problem several times. What I have found is that the ice tray coating has begun to flake off. Then, the ice sticks or partially dumps. Next more ice builds up and when the valve opens the water runs over the partially emptied tray and spills into the bin making "icebergs". The remedy is to replace the tray or if that is not possible, then, the whole icemaker. In fact, I have one down stairs to put in tomorrow. They don't seem to last more than about 4 years or so.

You probably have a bad shut valve seal in the unit...I am not sure if they can repaired seperately. They may ome as a complete unit. You can check with your local appliance dealer to resolve that one. You can use this number if you can't find one near you...V & V Appliance Parts Inc (1-330) 455-3387
