Facebook and Vista are both memory hogs.
1. Use 2. Use a better browser. 3. Buy more RAM. It's cheap. Your time is not. Don't waste time with a slow computer. 4. Vista. There are better options. Most options are better, actually.

Why do these ads keeping popping up?

You can reduce (or eliminate) the occurrence of pop-up ads by setting an Option in your browser that "Blocks Pop-Up" ...
If you're using IE Explorer, click on "Tools" (top right corner of screen - tool bar), put your cursor on "Pop-Up Blocker" (in the drop down window) and click on "Pop-Up Blocker Setting". Then, at the bottom of the window, set the "Blocking Level" at HIGH - which blocks all pop-up from showing up on your screen.

You can do it for other browsers as well ... e.g. Mozilla Firefox ...
click on Open Menu (the 3 horizontal bar on top right corner), select Options (in the drop down window), select the "Content" tab ... and check of the box (on the top) that says Block Pop-Up's, and then close.

Often pop-up's show up because your activity (viewing, searching, etc.) on the browser is tracked. Yes you can turn off tracking too !
This tracking info is used by "ads spawning" processes/apps to select which ads is displayed on your computer. So, you can reduce the amount of ad's by deleting cookies (particularly for these ads programs) every time you're done and close your browser ... just like you remove your (browsing) history, temporary files, cache information, etc.

When I receive messages from with a file attached, the file will not open and I get the message in the box that opens saying, "Browser is blocking Pop-ups." This is my...

Normally when this message appears a yellow bar at the top of the browser is also present. In IE you just need to click on it and chose the option that says "allow pop-ups". In Firefox there should be an "Allow" button at the right hand side of the yellow bar.

Best of luck to you mate!

How to fix pop-up blocked?

Is this a question with your internet browser or your printer, if its related with your internet browser then it depends upon which browser you are using, apart in most of the browsers you can find the solution on the same place where the pop up blocked message appears, look carefully it will also be saying like"Click here to allow pop ups". you can just click there and select the allow option from it. Hope it helps you.

You may have your anti-virus or firewall software configured to block attachments from being opened in your email. I would advise you to check your security software to see if it can allow you to open certain attachments.
