I purchased a 32'' Westinghouse LCD HDTV from walmart on 02/16/08. I watched it last night and it was working fine then when I turned it on tonight I get sound but no picture.

This problems is the board call the T-CON decoder board is the causes and the problems.This board is dying.The T-CON decoder board sit in the middle at the bottom of the LCD screen panel.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish T-CON decoder board for the replacement.
The power supply module may have gone out, need to check and see if you do have 5vdc standby voltage at the power supply module, also check the fuse in the power supply.
Unfortunately, this would be the mainboard that has died. You can purchase a new one online for around $150 or maybe cheaper on E-Bay. Hope this helps.
Try leaving the TV unplugged for 30 minutes so theTV can reset itself.
If that doesn't work, most likely the TV has a power supply board is the problem. Or, it's just a fuse that blown inside the TV.
But, I can't say it's 100% the problem because I can't actually look at the tv over the internet. If you have some electronic experience, if you can find and purchase a Service Manual over the internet; It will help you diagnose the source of the problem and fix it by soldering in the new part. The Service Manual will give you circuit diagrams, test points, and part# lists. Usually, cost under $20. And most cases the new part cost less than $15.
