Hi, My garage door stopped working when I tried to close it. I have Craftman 1/2H HBW0777. The Fuse went OOS. I turned it back but the opener doesn't work

With a volt meter make sure there is power to the outlet, if there is shut power off that feeds the door and remove the openers housing-some of these units will have a glass fuse for overload protection, check it and replace if needed. If no luck there your internal circuitboard is fried, sears should be able to get this for you if that is the case. hope this helps you..

Sounds like the motor turning and overpowered the circuit. first you should unplug the opener test for power at the recepticle. if you have power you know its the motor. or something is caught in the track preventing the door from coming down. after you test for power.pull the release that attaches the opener to the garage door and try to manually move the door up an down. with the door still unattached look for a reset button on the back of the opener and try it without the impedence of the load of the door

I have a Craftman Garage Door Opener Mod#139.53650SRT. It closes completely then goes back up. I replaced the sensors @ the sides of the door to no avail. I have tried to adjust the up and down on the side...

I agree with the closing resistance may be set incorrectly, all openers have a safety feature that senses if something is keeping the door from closing, this is back force, you set the sensitivity at the back of the opener motor control, it is a little dial, reduce the setting just enough to stop the door from kicking back open when it closes, I had this very same problem with my craftsman and this adjustment fixed it.

New Sears craftman 1/2 horsepower garage door opener not staying closed, trolley is hitting bolt stop and auto reversing.Have tried to adjust the down force and the distasnce down setting to no avail?

The 'down limit' on the side of the motor housing is what needs to be adjusted. Turn this control in the opposite direction of the arrow printed on the cover. I usually adjust this so it stops short by quite a bit and then fine tune it.

Hi , i have a Kenmore dryer special edition model # 110-8866291 stop working after i open the door while it running , did i blow the fuse ? please help .

its supposed to stop when you open the door,, close the door and try starting it up again, if it doesn't, its going to be one of 2 things,, the thermal fuse blew, they are located in the back of the machine or the door safety switch went out, you can check that by by passing it,, just jumper the 2 wires to it together and hit start , if you have no power at all to the machine, I'd check the thermal fuse first

The garage door remotes and keypad works only when i,m very close to opener, will not work at more then 6 ft away from opener. sears hbw0777

How old are the batteries in the remotes and keypad? Replace the batteries. If that helps, then you have solved the problem.

If it doesn't help, then check the antenna wire of the opener. (Make sure it is extended down from the unit.) Note this doesn't apply to all garage door openers. (We have several models - some with the external antenna and some without.)

Does your garage have metal walls and metal doors? This can shorten the range between the receiver and the remotes or keypad. An antenna extension may be available.

I don't see the HBW077 as a model number at Sears Parts Direct or Manage My Life. Please check the model and let me know if I can provide any additional assistance. (Sears Parts Direct has parts for my garage door openers. Manage My Life has manuals for Craftsman and Sears appliances.)

I hope this helps.

Anytime the main light flashes 10 times and the door reverses to the open position it is a door sensor problem. If the transmitting sensor light is blinking it is bad.

My Sears Craftman garage door opener closes about 1/3,stops,and reverses. When I activate the remote again it stops rising, starts down again, comes down another foot or so,stops, reverses etc.,etc, etc It...

If the main light is flashing 10 times when the door reverses it is a door sensor problem. One may have been bumped so that they no longer point at one another. Make sure the small light on each sensor is lit and not flickering. If this isn't the case you might need to increase the down force a little. The control is on the back panel near where all those white wires go. Increase it about 1/4 turn and try.

Garage door opener won't open or close door

The drive gear is stripped. Remove the cover and you can see it just in front of the motor. It is white nylon and the part number is 41A2817. Available from Sears or any good door opener service company. It will come with instructions.

Garage door won't close

your door travel screw is set to go too far on the downward travel. you need to set the down travel. It is set to go too far down. find the screw adjustment on the unit that says close and back off the screw a full turn until door stops short of floor. then start turning screw other way until door just touvhes floor.
