It sounds like it could be the power supply but you will need to do some trouble shooting first. Do you get anything on the monitor? I assume that you are not. What you need to do first is verify that a hardware problem is not the cause. I would start by disconnecting one piece of hardware at a time them plug the clientpro back in and try it. Start by disconnecting the cd-rom drive. Then any floppy drives. Then the hard drive or drives. Then any pci cards or video cards. Then the memory dimms and any usb connectors on the motherboard. By doing this you are making sure that none of the hardware components are causing a short in the motherboard's electrical system. If you disconnect all of these things and power button continues to flash then I am pretty sure it is the power supply. If you have another power supply from another computer you can install it into the clientpro as long as the atx connectors are the same. Let me know if you need more assistance.

It sounds like it is the power supply. I you put a new power supply in and the problem continues then it is the motherboard. I wish you had another computer to use a power supply out of to verify it is the problem. I repair computers at home and I always keep a cheap ATX power supply around just for testing. Let me know if it works.

Change boot order in bios on a client pro 385

Hi Jennifer. According to my research, these are Intel based PC's When you switch the PC on, keep tapping the 'Del' key to get into the BIOS. If it goes into windows, just restart the PC and try again - if the Del key doesn't work, try tapping F2 as that is also used by some manufacturers to get into the BIOS.
Once in the BIOS, just go through the menus until you find the boot priorities screen and make the necessary adjustments. Hope this helps

How do I remove the front cover for an MPC Clientpro 365 tower so I can add another optical drive?

There should be two Aqua colored tabs on the back diectly under the side panel, press them both at the same time and swing the cover out and it should slide off. Install the optical drive and replace the cover back on...

I have one of these systems and they are easy to work with, relatively speaking!

Screen if full of green lines, appears video card is going. Which video card can I get and how do I replace it

The MPC all-in-ones came with a couple different options. Most were sold with onboard Intel graphics, so if that's what you have, there's really no other option but to get a replacement computer (since MPC went out of business back in 2009.) Some were sold with removable ATI video cards, though. If you have one of those (just take a look in Device Manager to find out) then you can look for a replacement card on eBay

If memory serves (I used to work in tech support at MPC until they went out of business) that model did not have the feature. USB booting came out after this unit came to its end of life, so no update was ever provided to add the feature

Need an MPC ClientPro 155 power supply

For most computers, there isn't a power supply made specifically for each. Take the power supply out of the computer, and find out what type of power supply it is. Search for a new one on Google or eBay. Solution-givers cannot sell you merchandise.
Hope I helped

The clientpro 385 was recently restarted and now the power button flashes green every one to two seconds. Unplugging the computer and plugging it back in changes nothing.

You may want to check your manufactuar's manual, but usually a flashing green/yellow/orange power light on a desktop computer means a PSU (Power Supply Unit) failure.

If that verifies through your manual and/or their technical support department, contact the company you purchased it through or you can go on a 3rd party site like or or even locally at Best Buy and purchase a new PSU.

MPC ClientPro 1.6 GHz system unit won't power off

Usually, when you hold an ATX power button down for more than 3 seconds, it forces the system to power down. If this is not the case, there may be a hardware problem.

This is a type of hardware problem that I have encountered when one of the cables in a system is stuck on incorrectly. I've encountered this when people:
a) don't have the extra 15v cable correctly inserted on their mainboard.
b) have the flat cable of a floppy disk drive or LS drive inserted the wrong way around,
c) a harddrive or ROMdrive cable incorrectly inserted and / or
d) when the cables between the pc housing and mainboard are incorrectly connected.

If you have just recently installed hardware or someone has just recently worked on it, read the manual of the mainboard and check the settings of the connected cables on the mainboard and drives.

A power light on a PC often turns red when a disk drive is active. That's not a good state in which to constantly power down the PC, because one shouldn't often turn off the computer while it is reading the hard disk, otherwise data corruption or even worse, hard disk damage may occur.
