HELLO THERE:
I BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE RIGHT ABOUT THE FUSE.
If you remove the cover
This is done by by removing the screws in the back that are attached to the cover and than remove the screws on the bottom that hold on the cover .
You will be able to slide the cover off the back this may take a little bit of pressure and help with a flattip screwdriver.
once the cover is off look towards the front on the side and you will see a circuit board and on this board is the fuse,
Simply replace the fuse and than you can test the unit with the cover off if it works great, now just replace the cover and you are done.
If not you will have to have the circuit board serviced or replaced ok?
this should take care of the problem ok i surley hope that this has helped you ok?
Best regards Michael

Why does my kenmore microwave have power in but does not work?

Really need more information - what do you mean it "does not work"? Do you have any lights or display showing? Does it run and make sounds like it's working but it just isn't heating? Or is it completely dead? Each symptom indicates a different problem.
If it's completely dead, then it's either a fuse or a TCO (Thermal CutOff device - a thermal fuse, usually located above the cooking cavity).
If you've got a display, but it doesn't "run" when you press Start, then it is probably a door interlock switch.
And if it runs and makes noise (especially if the noise is louder than normal), then it is probably the magnetron tube.

Panosonic Microwave convection Model NN-8501V Touchpad appears dead

The unit has a fuse in the power board, but when the fuse is gone it does not even start up. If it starts it is not the fuse.

Look rather a problem with a faulty touchpad, or the magnetron that is not working and need to be changed.

Check also the door sensor.

All power went off on a condo I rent out. When the power came back on the microwave was dead. It is over the range and has power to the outlet.

Look for a reset button in the back--press and release. If no button, or it didn't help, The case must be opened--look for a blown fuse. If one is found and replaced--ok? If it still doesn't work, you will need a multimeter to verify power is getting into the equipment and getting to various sections. Was it running when the power failed? That would likely have shorted the high voltage diode in the magnetron power supply. There is also a metal fan-like device called a stirrer that is located inside the metal waveguide where the microwaves enter the cavity and it occasionally arcs through it's plastic bearing. When it does this, it shorts out the microwaves and blows a fuse. Replace the stirrer as a unit. Hope this gets you running again!

My microwave lost all power.

The plug should be located in the small cabinet above the stove. Leave it unpluged at least for 10 minutes. Mine does it occasionally when it gets hot. I haven't had a problem since I turn the fan on when I run it.

No heat, does not cook

Q - The microwave makes a loud "hum or buzz" noise but will not heat up the food?
A - 9 times out of 10 this is usually this is a bad magnetron, the other time is sometimes a bad high voltage diode. See components section.

Q - My microwave is running and sounds like it is working but will not heat up anything.
A - Many thing can do this but, common things are....loose high voltage wire.....poor solder joint on board.....magnetron.....power relay.....

Q - The microwave display counts down and the inside light is on,  but nothing is heating and the fan is not running.
A - This most commonly is a bad door switch, other possible problems are a faulty relay or solder joint on the power module, but a bad door switch is most common.
Q - My microwave went dead when I opened the door ( same problem as closed the door ).
A - This often is a stuck or faulty door switch and it has blown the interior microwave fuse.

Q - My microwave is completely dead.
A - House fuse has blown or interior fuse inside the microwave has blown ( usually a part inside the microwave makes this fuse blow ) Sometimes a bad fuse holder inside the microwave cannot hold the fuse tight enough and the fuse will blow as well.

Q - The fan in my microwave oven is not running will this hurt my microwave?
A - YES, the fan cools the magnetron and electronics, take the microwave in for service, most fans are not too expensive to replace.

Q - My microwave blows the fuse inside itself as soon as I push the start button.
A - Usually a shorted high voltage capacitor...see components section.

Microwave dead even though power works

It sounds like the magnetron overheated and opened the thermal fuse on the magnetron.

This can be caused when the internal cooling fan is not running or by a magnetron that is failing.

When I say internal cooling fan, I do not mean the hood vent exhaust fan which you can turn on and off manually.

I'm instead talking about the internal fan which comes on automatically whenever you microwave.

It is vital that the cooling fan runs, or the magnetron will be destroyed.

There should be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting & testing.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

You can also find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

The magnetron will have a 5 to 9 year warranty. Your manual will tell you that.

You can download GE owner's manuals and installation instructions here.

If needed, GE may send you a replacement magnetron. GE Customer Service is here.

GE JVM1630BJ Microwave went completely dead with no power

Sounds like the bulb shorted, which is very common, and the first time it blew the fuse.

It sounds like when you put the new fuse in and tried it again, the bulb was still shorted, and this time it damaged the board.

We see (and repair) thisa lot. The problem is on the control panel, whichwe regularly repair nationwide by mail for $39.95 postpaid in about aweek.

Atour Web site, we have a videoavailable showing how to remove a typicalover the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

This light failure oftenoccurs when a bulb goes out and the filamentshorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed without firstunplugging the oven from the power line. Either can cause such afailure on the controller.

This can often alsoaffect the exhaust fan operation, too. The lights and fan can beinoperable or stuck on too.

Details of our serviceand critical safety information and disassembly information is at oursite, and our link is at ourlisting hereon FixYa.
