Question about Panasonic TH-42PX60U Television
While watching TV all of a sudden the set turn off. Will not come back on and the front LED never lights up.
Same problem exactly 2 years after I bought the Panasonic 42-inch plasma. I purchased a $299 4 year warranty with Best Buy that I will attempt to use. Given the prices quoted by previous posters it appears that this was a cost effective thing to do--assuming BB stands by their warranty!

All the boards are available (used, salvaged, and tested) on ShopJimmy website. They also allow returns of identical board for 30% restocking. Power supply board is $110. Anyone familiar with electronic repair can replace - remove power, remove back panel keeping track of screws/location, carefully unplug about a dozen connectors to the board, replace board, reverse steps for assembly. Be careful about static discharge to boars; handle by edges.

I have contacted Panasonic. I was given information about something called "Team 9". It must be some type of customer service team. They had me FAX copies of my receipt of purchase, repair bill ($534) and contact information. They gave me a case number and this week I received a voicemail saying they had an "offer" for me. I called a few times and left messages and someone is supposed top contact me on Monday.

Same thing happened to me, no power at all, very dissapointing after spending $2000 on a tv. The problem is the power supply is blown and must be replaced at a cost of over $400.

If the TV cost to much to repair, would you be willing to sell it for
parts? My front glass screen has got a chip in it. Cant see paying 500
just to have a new one installed.

I had the same problem also.
Somebody said the fuse might have blown out?
I just brought to the service repair.
It costed $100 for the check-in.
Don't know how much it costs more for repair.
Hope somebody has a good solution on this.
