Popups like this usually occur when you have a startup entry in the registry or the MSconfig that is calling for a program startup that is no longer available. This can happen when you uninstall a program without using the appropriate means of uninstalling such as deleting the files manualy and not using the add remove programs in the control panel. or through the uninstall link in the programs folder.

Windows xp not start following file missing corrupt system32 confi

Restart the computer, and force it to boot from the Windows XP CD-ROM. Choose "Repair Existing Installation", and see if that fixes the problem.

It might be better to remove the disk-drive, attach it as a "slave" disk-drive in some other computer, and copy all your files onto an external disk-drive.

The Boot Manager file may be corrupted or as it says missing. You must reinstall the operating system. Use the hidden recovery partition if it (still) exists or the recovery media that shipped with the computer. If no recovery media came with the computer, you must contact the Vendor and order them. You will in all likelihood have to pay for them.

My laptop comes up with an error regarding toshiba mk1059gsm and says to back up my computer files... I have already done this, I have also done the diagnosis that pops up before computer start up and has...

Try backing up the files to a standalone storage device like a seagate, or buy a large sized thumb drive & back up to this fully, then remove the thumb drive & reboot the computer, hope this helps.....

Received a Blue Screen with Fatal Error

Please turn on the machine and keep hitting softly the F8 button on the keyboard.
When the list of options show up, select SAFE MODE and wait for the PC to load default drivers. Once asked to log in, please select "ADMIN". If none exists then select your user account.
A pop-up greets you, just click on "OK" to proceed.
Click on "Start"
Click on "My Computer"
Right click on your hard-drive and select "Properties"
Click on "Tools" tab
In the dialog box, check both options that is
"Automatically fix file system errors"
and
"Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors"
Click "Start" and accept by clicking on "YES" to accept a scheduled scan.

When i whant too download mp3 files too my computer i get messege error server 404 what can i do too fix it??

A 404 error comes from the other end - normally it means that the file, page or site that you are trying to connect to does not exist.
There is nothing you can do.

Importing Error

The problem is probably the same one i had. After successfully importing videos and pictures from my SD card, Windows 7 started giving me that error. I discovered that it was caused by the fact that I had imported some directly to an external USB hard drive (E:) and had set the default import directory to it (I can't remember if I had done this dileberately, or if W7 remembered it).
Fix: Just before you start the import, click the more options link at the bottom, and change your default folder to the local drive or to an attached external drive, something that exists at the time.
Worked like a charm after that!

Hi,

Apparently, you computer has some unexpected software running during the startup. In order to get ride of these software, you could check your register table manualy by regedit or download this software, which will help you to find if there are any suspect software running at the startup.

When i push to navigate it says the file does not exist

You will probably need a computer with an SD slot, and running Windows Xp. I tried the following method on a computer running Windows Vista, and it did not work. I tried again on an older Xp machine, and it worked first time.

  1. Put the SD (Map) card in the computer's SD slot.
  2. Open Windows "explore". (RIGHT click on "Start", then select "explore"
  3. Locate your disk on the file menu.
  4. RIGHT click on the map disk
  5. A menu pops up.
  6. At the bottom of the menu, select "properties"
  7. Another menu pops up, with several tabs along the top.
  8. Select the tab that says "tools".
  9. In the "error-checking" section, select "Check Now"
  10. Another menu pops up.
  11. Select the box that says 'Automatically fix file system errors".
  12. Click "Start"
The program will only take a few seconds to run. If it works, you will see the file directories of the SD card display on the "Explore' screen. You can then put the SD card back in the GPS, and see if it works.

Good luck.

All my songs got deleted while i tried to add more

I've run across this as well and it's actually a setting in Windows Media Player. The only way I've found to correct it (since I couldn't find it in the advanced options) was to start Windows Media Player and go to the sync page. Then connect the player to the computer. When Media Player recognizes the device it will pop up a screen (make sure you're in the sync page first) that says Windows Media Player - Device Setup. There will be two options, 1 to leave existing files and sync to remaining space and 2 to delete files before sync. Choose the first option to leave existing files and then click next and then finish. You should be able to sync new songs to the player now without it deleting the existing songs that are already on there.
