Question about Lenoxx Electronics CD-102 Cassette/CD Boombox

Casette belt? Tapes play SLOW like an LP on the wrong speed. I figure I need a new belt but can't contact customer service at Lenoxx (bankruptcy). Anyone know exactly what I need, where to get it, and how to install it? Thanks!

Re: Casette belt?

They have declared bankruptcy... My husband lost his job there... Your best bet is to make a big stink with walmart...

I have an rca portable radio tape and cd player RCD175, and it plays good, but wont play cassette tapes. I put the tape in and press pas and the play button wont stay pressed in. What causes that?

It is due the mechanism trouble to your set. The casette tape deck mechanism should be troubleshooted. It is a skilled work. Just contact any experienced service technician to make this set right.

Cd player only shows

You will need to check the swith that change from Tape to CD to other functions. If the switch is good. Then the next thing is to check for tape function. Can you try to fast forward, reverse. If these functions are working properly then the pinch roller ( the little wheel that is pulling the tape need to be replaced). If nothing moves then you need to replace the belt and the wheel and possible the motor at the same time

Hello i have a jvc rv b 90 . Ive insert the casette wrong. Now i cant open the casette deck anymore.

Casette tape can be reeled to the capstan shaft and jammed. It is a tricky way to get it out. Only an experienced service technician can do this work. If you try to pull the casette hold tray out by force, it will get broken, and will turn irreparable. OK.

Tape Deck

This unit has 2 belts that are slipping and need to be replaced. This is not the easiest repair for a novice. The belts shouldn't cost more than about $5 total. I woud recommend that you seek a shop that repairs audio gear and inquire about the repair cost.

Cassette players jammed

actually you can not lubicate the cassette players. it has to do with a belt inside. your players may need to be demagnitized. i would go to radio shack or electronic store and try a cassette cleaner/demagnitizer and see if that solves the problem. i would even try different batteries or a ac power adapter if you have the plug. some batteries make units run slow. i would even get a can of dust cleaner that you find in the electronics section. you spray it in and it cleans the inside of the dust that may be inside.

Tape decks playig too fast

Hi I can probably tell you what is wrong, but there is usually not much you can do except take it to a shop and have the motor replaced. I most cases there is a hole in the back of the cassette capstan drive motor, or on a small circuit board close to the motor where the speed is adjusted at the factory. You could possibly adjust the speed by ear until it sounded right playing a factory recorded tape with a song you know well, but I recommend these adjustments be left to a tech with a frequency counter. Also, these adjustments normally never need to be touched unless replacing a motor, so it is likely something internal has gone wrong with the motor, and it should be replaced under most circumstances. Hope this helps, Good Luck.
