Same problem...   Any one else had it or better yet anyone fixed it?

I have the same problem...  anyone else?  Or better yet anyone figured out how to fix it?  How do you take it apart?  I have tried to remove the gray ring around the bottom but only managed to get one side loose before I decided I was forcing it too hard and the ends hadn't budged.

I can scroll in every direction except down.  This has become a progressive problem.  I can hear the ball activating in all of the directions, but down.  Usually a hard push to the dashboard screen and it usually goes back to normal, but not this time.

I have had the same problem on occasion.  I found that if I turn the mouse over and tickle it...  It works!  Only kidding...
Turn the mouse over, push down hard so the ball is depressed, and move it vigorously in all directions.  That usually dislodges whatever is trapped inside.

Use an alcohol pad on the scroll ball. roll it a bit, and it will work again.

I found that I fixed this problem by pushing down very ******* the little ball on the top of the mouse and rolling it up, down and side to side.  Little bits of fuzz came out the top.  It took about 30 seconds and now it works fine !!!!!

Yes, I have had this problem too and still do, I don't think there's a way it can be easily fixed. I took my mouse completely apart, gave it a thorough cleaning but it's still not working, I think the only thing we can do is buy new ones!

Apple wireless mouse will not scroll down. Any suggestions on fixing this problem?

remove the battery cover and batteries, spray compressed air through the two plastic lids (use precision hose included), so that air passes into and clean dust and dirt.
Then clean the scroll ball with a piece of cotton cloth moistened with water.

Top scroll ball dose not work

Easy fix. Turn your mighty mouse upside down. With a dry cloth, preferably microfiber or a lens cloth, rub the wheel vigorously back and forth to clean out any dust that may be stuck in the mouse.

Did you take the ball out and clean it and everything it touchs internally?? Dust tends to build up in it and makes it go where you dont want.

Same thing happened to me. I finally ended up with blue tooth telling me it could not detect my mouse and it had to find it. You might check your mouse settings in blue tooth.
