Why does the aircon cant stay on

Most modern air conditioners are designed to offer up to 10 to 20 years of reliable use. However, even the most reliable of air conditioners may stop cooling or suffer from problems from time to time. Remember that one of the best ways to prevent unexpected A/C problems is to have regular maintenance performed on your unit. If you cannot perform the maintenance yourself, hire a professional to do so. Spending money on maintenance now can save you from big repair bills in the future.
Some of the most common AC problems are listed below, and they may even be the reason why your air conditioning unit won't kick on. Review this information so that you know how to best troubleshoot problems with your unit. Be sure to determine whether your unit has shut down entirely or whether only a part of your unit has shut down or isn't working. Remember that it is always necessary to cut power off to your unit before inspecting it for wiring-related problems.
  • The AC unit does not cool rooms evenly: Inspect your unit's distribution channels. Make sure that the fan on your unit is kicking air into rooms or into your duct system.
  • The AC unit turns on but doesn't cool: If your unit turns on but doesn't cool, check your thermostat to be sure that it is set at the correct temperature. You should then check the condenser and evaporator for dirt and clogging. If too much dirt builds up, your unit may not turn on at all.
  • The condenser unit returns on and off repeatedly: Having a unit turn on and off repeatedly is extremely frustrating. In general, this problem is caused either by a dirty condenser and fan or a clogged condenser.
  • The condenser unit won't turn on: If your condenser unit won't turn on at all, you may have a faulty motor or the unit may not be receiving power. Examine all wiring and ensure that the unit is plugged in.

My panasonic air conditioner does not turn off when cooling

At what temperature is the thermostat?
The temperature should never be lower than 70?F (21?C) for the unit to operate properly. If your temperature setting is above 70?F, then your unit might have a problem with the temperature sensor that controls the "on/off" cycle on your unit. For that you will need a professional certified HVAC tech to inspect it.

Most people think that lowering the temperature to the minimum will cool the room faster, but that is not the case. Since HVAC units move the air at a specific rate, it can only transfer the temperature, thus cooling/heating the air, within those parameters. That's what the calculation for the BTU is for. Normally cooling/heating the room to the desired temperature should take about 1 hour, but some new inverter units can do it in only 30 minutes or so. Lowering the temperature constantly or even keeping it at the lowest setting may cause premature failure of the unit.

I just bought a Panasonic dx800 and cannot figure out the IP address for the fax machine itself. It is connected to ethernet; shouldn't it find some of the other paramaters itself?

You could use the Fax Parameter List printout by pressing FUNCTION 6 4 SET, Panasonic recommends to have a copy of this data for any reference, you can download the user guide from the following link: http://www.panasonic.com/business/office/pub/op_man_fax/OI_DX-800.pdf

Mitsubishi Through the Wall Unit Does Not Remove Humidity

You were told incorectly. From what you are describing the unit is oversized for your space.

All Air conditioners remove humidity. In fact the Air conditioner was invented by accedent by Mr carrier when he was trying to invent a machine to remove humidity. He discovered that by drawing air accross a cold coil the humidity drained off the coil. He also discovered that it was a mighty effective way to cool large quantities of air, and we then had "Carrier" air conditioning systems.

When a system is to large for the area it is to cool, it will cool the air in that small area so fast that the humidity starts to condense in the room before it can be pulled through the evaprator coil.

In this case, the solution would to be either replace the unit with a smaller one.
Increase the area to be cooled. (open doors to other rooms etc). or use the dehumidifier.

How many square foot is the space you are trying to cool?
What size is the AC unit? (in "tons")

Always wondered why there is no drain hole at bottom rear of unit, so no condensation can drip away-now I find it not cooling well and the bottom front of the condenser is iced up. What to do?

Newer models of window AC's use either a flailing fan to spin the condensate out the sides of the AC (outside the window) or the heat of unit and outside air will evaporate the condensate.

Either way, any excess will spill over the back edge, hence the reason that manufacturer's recommend that the AC be installed with the rear of the unit slightly tilted down to prevent excessive condensate (water) from building up and/or coming inside the front of the unit.

As to the icing, it could be that the unit is undersized for the space you are trying to cool and can't keep up and is running all the time in an attempt to cool the air down in the room you have it installed in. Try letting the unit "defrost" by shutting it off for awhile (until the ice melts) and then keep the shades pulled and the door closed once you restart it. I also tell people to give the AC a chance to adjust by setting the cooling temp to around 10 cooler than the present temperature of the room.

It's really hard to completely cool down a hot room all at once, so unless you're willing to let the unit cool it down in stages, it might not be able to ever get a 90 degree room down to 65 degrees in one day, if ever. Give it a try and see what happens, otherwise, you might need a larger rated BTU unit to get the cooling you desire.

Age of Empires Exceed Population Limit
If you need more units, but the population limit stops you, try this. Bring your population to 1 unit beneath the population limit. Now, make sure you have lots of resources, enough to build several units.Next, go to all the buildings that can produce units, and QUICKLY click on the icon that makes the unit. Do this on every building as fast as you can, but you can only continue until a unit is completed, thus bringing your population to it's limit. HOWEVER, the game will complete all the units you started! With this, going fast enough, you, will be able to exceed your limit by about 10 units.

If this unit was new one and setting was done accurately,It sem that the ac is tripping off due to several factors in case of tripping off the compressor there is a hi pressure that building up on hi side that could not expand normally on expansion valve, there's clogging of some impurities or substance such as air in the system, this will develop a high current to your compressor exceeding to the rated current of unit, resulting to trip off the ac.You can check this on taking the operating current while the unit while is running using clamp ammeter the current will register and compared this to rated current that specified in the compressor manual or the compressor casing it was tag there.Or check again the set up sequence at the remote control the variation of thermostat setting.

Failure during operation

No. The fan setting simply runs the fan full time bypassing the thermostat. In cooling mode the unit is slave to the thermostatic sensor located in the return air stream. If the unit is in a very small room or the exiting cool air is obstructed by furniture or curtains then the cool air is directed directly back to the sensor before mixing with the room air, causing erratic operation. Be sure several square feet of floor space is open in front of the unit and point the vent upwards and see if that makes a difference. Hope this was somewhat helpful, GL.

Samsung window unit air conditioner model # AW2402M freezes up one time, and the next time freezes you out of the room. What is wrong with it, Termistat or compressor?

Try to set the thermostat to higher temperature and monitor if the compressor will turn " off " when the room temp. is cool, and turn " on " when the room temp. is high. If does not work then your thermostat is defective. Continue running of compressor with very cold room temp. can build up ice in the unit. The compressora73b784.jpg should shutdown when setting temp. will attain.
