Here is another more detailed way to solve this problem, using dimensional analysis:

You want to convert cm3 to m3.

  • Consider the two different units without their superscripts: that is, cm and m.
  • Relate them to each other: that is, 1 m = 100 cm is probably the easiest way.
  • Use the above equivalency by rewriting it as a ratio: 1 m/100 cm or 100 m/1 cm.
  • Now cube each one of the above ratios: that is, 1 m^3/(100 cm)^3 or (100 cm)^3/1 cm^3. You want to do this cubing, because, you want to match the unit in the given starting quantity, 1 cm^3.
  • Next multiply one of the above ratios (also called the "conversion factor") times the given quantity, as followed below:centimeters cubed to meters cubed conversion - dubblea_7.jpg

    OOPS! I noticed a typo in the third bullet line: At the end of the line, in the last ratio, I typed
    100 m/1cm. That of course, should have been written as 100 cm/1 m. I intended to just flip the first ratio, not change the units. Sorry for any inconvenience.

I need to convert 5'4 into Centimeters?

Here is the math info, you do the math.
One mm is one "millimeter" or one one-thousandth of a meter (1 mm = 1/1000 m).

One cm is one "centimeter" or one one-hundredth of a meter (1 cm = 1/100 m).

Therefore, 1 cm = 10 mm. To convert mm to cm, divide the number of mm by 10 to get the number of cm

What is 1000 mm in cm

Metric conversions are easy once you know the base mille, centi, etc.
mm = millimeter 1/1000 of a meter
cm = centimeter = 1/100 of a meter

therefore 1000 mm = 100 cm = 1 meter

How to convert meters to centimeters using table of conversion

Do you really need a conversion table? A meter is exactly one hundred centimeters (actually, by definition a centimeter is one-hundredth of a meter). So, 2 meters would be 200 centimeters, and 2.1 meters would be 210 centimeters.

I need to know how to convert 11390cm cubed into metres cubed

Your calculator may or may not have a program for unit conversion, but the best method is to understand the metric system so you can do these conversions without a calculator. A meter is the same as 100 centimeters, so divide 11390 by 100 to get 113.90 m^3.

Rather than relying on a calculator, I highly recommend taking the time to practice metric conversions. It is very common for high school and even college professors to try and trick you by, for example, requesting the answer in centimeters when the question is in meters.

How many cubic centimeters are in 1m3?Explain how you know using pictures,numbers and words.

You first need to know how to calculate volume of a cube. Take the length of the side of the cube and multiply it by itself, and then multiply by itself one final time. For example, if you have a cube that has a side length of 2 cm, you would multiply 2 x 2 to get 4, and then 4 x 2 to get 8 cubic cm.

You are asking about a 1 cubic meter cube. I know that a side of that cube is 1 m (1 x 1 x 1 = 1). Convert one meter to cm. Therre are 100 cm in one meter. The new math will be 100 x 100 x 100 = 1,000,000 cubic cm.
