Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook
All lights come on, the fan starts, then hard drive revs, then everything shuts down. after a few seconds it starts up again with the same process, over and over again. any ideas or solutions.
I think the solution might be easier then that. It sounds to me like your running on a dead battery. Make sure that your power adapter is working correctly then look at the adapter port on the laptop. Quite often people will leave the power adapter attached to the laptop and stuff it in their bag. This bends the adapter inside the back of the laptop and detaches it from the board. the result is that even though the power adapter is attached, nothing charges.
