I may have tested my camera maybe once from I received it. The battery was reading low and kept cutting off once I tried turning it on, however the battery is not charging once placed on the cradle.

My new Vivitar Viicam 5340 has been charged all night and all day. It turns on when on the docking station but goes off as soon as I lift it off. I have to put it back on the docking station to turn it off. How do I get it on? The icon which shows battery indication is not on the screen.
