Did you change the ISO setting to a high number? Try going into the setup menu and scroll to "reset"...follow the on-screen instructions.

All outdoor exposures are white.

Sounds like you ISO setting (the 'film' speed) is set WAY too high. The brightness outdoors is causing the camera to not be able to expose correctly within the parameters of lens aperture and shutter speed. Try setting the ISO at 200.

Picture dark

Locate the Fn (Function) key on your keyboard.
It may be on the bottom left side with dark blue letters.

Locate the two "brightness" keys near the top of the keyboard.
These will be in the "F" keys, possibly if F6 and F7.
They should have little sun pictures or something similar to indicate brightness.

Hold down the Fn key while pressing F7, or whichever "F" key your laptop uses to increase brightness.

Tap F7 repeatedly until you reach the desired brightness.
Fn must be held down as you continue to tap.
check vga card

Click the Windows orb logo at the bottom of the desktop to show the start menu.Click the "Control Panel" from the menu to open a window.

Type "troubleshooter" in the search box in the top-right corner of the window.Click the "Troubleshooting" link that appears in the center of the window in the search results.
Click "View All" in the left pane of the window.

Click "Display Quality," and Windows will begin checking the computers video card adapter. Monitor the screen, answer the questions and follow the instructions if a problem and solution are given by Windows.

When i take pictures, horizontal lines appear and brightness is more

From what you said - it sounds more like a sensor problem in the camera.
If the screen looks OK while sizing up a picture , then 'click' Image is stored on sensor which is read as one LARGE matrix of dots and stored into memory.
If the white lines start at this point - ie. viewing the picture while in camera and then after download.
Then, the problem started at the sensor.
I just did a (www.goggle.co.uk) and did a search for problems - and NONE apart from Wi-Fi connections to Windows7 -- all reviews were great.
I would connect Nikon to see what they recommend

Orange blue lines, image over exposed for outdoor shots

Hi,
You might have chosen either to fast an ISO (i.e. 800 or 1600) or you have too much light entering the lens (sensor) in other words the automatic exposure is turned off manually or there is a fault, check first the menu options as a rough guide you should have the ISO set around 200 - 400 the aperture set around F6.3 to 8 with a shutter speed at 200 ish, all this depends on the brightness of the day but if you have auto exposure on which every new camera would have these days then that is all taken care of. Try different SCN and ISO to see if problem still persists. If the problem is intermitted, try to find a pattern in to when the faulty pictures appear.

Or else try to remove the memory card. Turn On camera without memory card, now press menu button and go to setup menu and under setup menu please look for format then press Ok, under format please format the internal memory. Now if you already reformat the internal memory, take atleast 3 pictures on a same subject, then hit review if the lines appeared on both pictures on same location, it means camera needs of service please call Kodak toll free 1 800 235 6325., For U.S and canada support.
Thank you!

Bought this product on 28/03-08 at bangalore.all snaps taken out-doors becomes too whitish and not able to see anything, the lcd screen on review shows no snap..but white over exposed result even at...

make sure your ISO setting is set to Auto. Even in auto mode its possible to set your ISO manually. If the ISO is set to auto and the pictures are still to bright, your sensor may be bad. Also make sure your exposure compensation is set to 0.

The problem is the lens is not opening, If you look into the lens you can see it is closed. This will require a trip to the repair shop.
