Kenwood KDC-MP235 CD Player Logo
Posted on Sep 29, 2009

I have a Kenwood KDC-MP235 installed now and bought a cable to run from my MP3 player into the aux input on the front of the unit but I can not get it to play or find an aux input switch anywhere on the unit. Unfortunately I can not locate the manual.

Hey dear, just do this if you wanna set AUX function: turn off your head unit.. when is in standby mode, press the volume knob and hold it pressed until it appears some words... then start moving on to differente options by clicking left-right of the right knob... you will find aux on-off

not sure if standby mode, or completely turned off (to turn it off just click the SRC mode a few seconds)

How do I play my Zune hd through my car speakers, my head unit is a Kenwood excelon KDC-X692

If your Kenwood has an AUX input then you can connect a audio cable from the headphone connector on the Zune to the the AUX input on the Kenwood. Power up the Zune ans set it to music and switch the Kenwood to AUX.

Hi, the tape deck in my 2004 Ford Taurus SEL wagon is running slow, so music played sounds off. I am thinking of purchasing a tape converter for our mp3 player in the car. Will the slower speed affect...

well first off have you thought about getting a CD deck that has AUX input so you can hook up your MP3 to the deck by an AUX cable. as far as the tape player running slow i would say it needs to be cleaned by a professional because the little rubber belt may be going bad also. If you want to go to a AUX CD deck look at crutchfield.com or go to an authorized kenwood dealer in your area and look for the kenwood KDC-MP245. Going through the AUX instead of tape would sound a little bit better and if you want to go a bit better than the AUX then you should go to the KDC-HD545U. The KDC-MP245 is $99.99 before shipping and the KDC-HD545U is $169.99 before shipping. I hope I answered your question and please vote and leave high marks. Thank you very much.

AUX input won't work

The red and white RCA terminals on the back of the unit are generally outputs for amplifiers. To use AUX the unit will need to have a 3.5mm jack in the front or rear. If not than the unit does not have AUX input capabilities.

Ok I had the kenwood KDC-MP235 installed and...

The front aux input is only capable of accepting audio signals and definitely won't display any track tags.

If you have an iPod, I think with the KCA-iP500 adapter it will display song info on the front as well as allow control from the Kenwood's controls.

As far as the song info on a CD - it should display if you've got a CD with CDTEXT info on it, or if you're playing an MP3/WMA CD. Most regular audio CDs won't be able to display song info.
