My Candy GrandO front loading washing machine is boil washing when set to on 40/50 deg cycle - also taking much longer than the 90 mins. Can't rem when I bought it (dont laugh) but think +1 yr.. rescued clothes by switching to drain cycle but they smelt of burning.. will get it checked but is this a fault reported before??

- Yep - not a chance its going on till I get someone out! Am curious though whether this is a prob with this make/model? 3 kids worth of mess and work f/time so tend to use the machine 3/4 washes back to back and then not for a couple of days.. have switched it to off but cant get into the plug to unplug it.. trying not to freak out that it will blow up!!Best Solution

sounds like overheating, don't use until you have had it checked, may be dangerous
Please do'nt use it , could fire!
The safety stats TOCs (thermal overload cutout stats) are there to stop it over heating, sounds like they have failed along with element.
