Most dishwashers fill level is determined by time.
If the water pressure is to low, or the flow is restricted by sand or rust cloging the water valve, the unit will not fill with enough water to clean the dishes.

if you are willing to try, and you can use basic hand tools, you might be able to clean a clogged water valve.
first make sure the ELECTRICAL POWER to the unit is up-plugged or turned off. turn off water supply.

Valve is located under unit most can be reached by removing panel on lower front of unit. disconnect water pipe at valve and look for a filter screen inside the valve, remove it, clean it, reinstall it. now reconnect water pipe, and turn water and power back on look under unit and check for water leaks before reinstalling panel.

My dish washer wont fill with water

there is a float, usually at front left side inside dishwasher, that may be stuck..possibly an utility holding it up, or the fill valve is stuck. When dishwasher calls for water, it fills until this float rises to proper level and shuts the valve off at proper level. If it sticks, water will shut off at improper level.

Is there special directions to put coolant in?

Welcome to FIxYa.com

How to Fill Coolant

If the coolant system has been flushed, first add 100 percent ethylene glycol in

the amount listed for the appropriate engine application. Then slowly add clean

water to the system until the level of the coolant mixture has reached the base-of

the radiator neck. Wait for two minutes and recheck the level of the coolant

mixture. add clean water if necessary to restore the coolant mixture level to the

base of the radiator neck

When refilling the engine cooling system, add three engine coolant supplement

sealant pellets, GM RN 3634621 or equivalent, and GM approved new Ethylene

Glycol Coolant DEX-COOL GM RN 9985809.

If the cooling system is being refilled ONLY (no flush), a 50 percent ethylene

glycol and 50 percent clean water mixture should be used to fill the system. Fill

the system until the level of the 50150 mixture has reached the base of the radiator

neck. Wait two minutes and recheck the level of the coolant mixture. add a 50/50

ethylene glycol water mixture as necessary to restore the coolant mixture level to

the base of the radiator neck.

Install the radiator cap making certain the arrows line up with the overflow tube.

Close all air bleeds. DO NOT over torque the air bleed valve. The air bleed valve is

made out of brass.

Fill the coolant reservoir with a 50 percent ethylene glycol and a 50 percent clean

water coolant mixture. The proper amount of this mixture to be installed into the

coolant reservoir is listed below:

Add 0.65 liters (0.68 quarts) of a 5010 mixture of ethylene glycol and clean water

to the coolant recovery reservoir.

CAUTION: The low coolant indicator lamp may come on after this procedure. After

operating the vehicle so that the engine heats up and cools down three times. if at

any time the "TEMP' warning indicator comes on. Immediate action is required.

Air bleed vent is at the thermostat house

Doesn't clean dishes .I rinse dishes off before putting them in dishwasher. This is the 3rd time I have washed them and they are still really really dirty.I checked all the lines under my sink to see if...

water temp plays a big role in proper washing the temp coming into the machine has to be a minimum of 120 degrees.
next thing to check is proper water level, there should be standing water in the bottom of the dish washer when it has completed it filling cycle.
try and add some water with out over filling the machine once the fill cycle has stop then run it through again and see what happens.
the main wash motor may have to be replaced

The top does not wash and the bottom some what works. no water pressure

First thing to check is your in coming water pressure and temp. The internal water temp has to be at least 120 degrees to properly clean the dishes.

Second after the machine has stopped filling with water open the door and look at the water level in side you should have 1/2" to 1" of water and it should be hot.

Third if there is not that much water add a few cup fulls off water unit the whole bottom of dishwasher is covered in water. Then start your machine and let it go through a cycle.

If your unit cleans the dishes then you may need to replace the water fill valve,if it does not clean the dishes and the results are the same you need to replace your main wash motor.Remember water temp has to be 120 degrees.

I hope this helps with your dishwasher and you get it fixed fast.

Too little water comes into machine

Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman";} Your pressure switch stops the water and allows it to start the next cycle. It's a switch either in the control panel or at the top of the tub with a small tube connected to it which goes down between the inner and outer tub. As the water level increases the air in the tube is compressed until there is enough pressure to make the switch stopping the water from filling. This tube can get clogged and the switch won't work properly. Remove the tube and clean it out. Blowing on the tube when it's still connected to the switch will make the switch if it's working and clear.

Ford escort temperature gauge going into the red enough water in the radiator

you need to see if the fan is working properly,eg;you can feel air being pulled through the radiator,or if its electric does it turn on and run quickly enough. It may even be the thermostat is not working properly,it could even be the water pump impeller(like propeller, pushes water through system)is corroded and water doesnt flow properly, but you can see by taking the radiator cap off and running the engine and holding the revs up and you will feel the water flowing past your finger ...pumps probably ok,try these things ,,,good luck
