Cd error on my shaker 500 in my mustang do I need a new stereo or can I fix this. Thanks Dean

Hi Dean,
Although it isn't generally public knownage, the original "standard format" for recorded audio was established as ".wav" and is universally readable by vertually all cd players portable, auto and home systems, unless it is "designed" as an "MP3" player specifically and is usually noted somewhere on the unit. If you burn your own disks, although the file sizes are bigger (almost 2-3 times the bit size), they will be readable in alot more players. Recording in "MP3" format, you can get lots more songs on a disk however, you may notice the difference between the "sound" of the two different formats on the same song, it has to do with the "sample rate" and the "interpretation" of the sound by the format. (long explanation not important but, if you're interested you can find tons of information about audio anywhere on the web)
Many audio units read "both" as well as other audio formats that are "computer" or "digitally" created and are actually computer "languages" with different applications like ".WMA" which is "windows media audio", so, depending on the format of the disk you tried playing when you got the error code, it may be that simple, your unit cannot "read" the format the disk was created with and is telling you "cd error". The same thing would come up if you put a dvd or a computer cd in it.
If you only had trouble with that one particular cd, try a commercially produced cd or one you know worked before and so long as it plays you have your answer.
If other disks including commercial cd's won't play, you may have to use a "cd player cleaner", a disk designed to clean the optical laser inside the unit, they usually have tiny brushes on the disk and may or may not come with a cleaning fluid to use with it.
Hope this helps :)

Nokia 3500 memory card not show

The phone has hung up because there are errors in the software. So to reset remove the battery and the memory card from the phone. Using your PC , scan the memory card for any corrupt files or media files with virus- it is possible when they are downloaded from unsafe sites. If so remove or format the card. Now replace the card and battery and switch on the phone. If the phone hangs up then it is confirmed that the software is corrupt and will need a reinstallation. Seeking help from the authorized service /support centre is most ideal. Take estimate and decide.

We have a radio in our RV and no manual. It is a Jensen VR185. Can you help us to set the time on this radio.

Press T/F (7) momentarily to change the information displayed by the unit from mode-specific

information (radio frequency, CD track number, etc.) to the clock display. Press T/F again to

return to the default display.

The T/F button is also used to set the clock to the correct time. Press and hold T/F to enter into

clock set mode. When the time flashes on the display, rotate the volume control to adjust the

hours. When finished, press T/F again and rotate the volume control to adjust the minutes.
When no adjustments have been made for five seconds, the unit will resume normal operation.

The problem is getting the word 'err' when inserting a CD. The CD contains files of type MP3, music files. However, this isn't the case for all CDs. I am not sure what are their types, but some cds...

Check the specs of your audio system; not all can use MP3s or read CD-Rs or CD-RWs. Commercial CDs have a different file format.

If your system can read MP3s and the media you are using (CD-R or CD-RW, most likely), next make sure that you finalized the discs in question. (Finalization ensures that a disc written by one machine is readable to another.) The only other possible issue is a tracking problem (the machine that wrote the tracks put them in an place that the sound system isn't finding). If the computer optical drive is the source of the error, it's usually cheaper to replace instead of repairing.

I hope this helps.

I want to download twilight eclipse movie free ? from where? You will need a torrent program which are also free, I would suggest using uTorrent. Make sure you read the comments before downloading, the community will tell you if it is a good download or not and pay attention to the file details so you don't download a mp4 file instead of an avi file. Just a few pointers. Hope this helps and remember to share!

The USB function on my JVC KD-AR880 won't engage. It "File Search" forever. I'm using an 8gig USB Flash Drive (Corsair), and it has approx. 2.3gigs of music on it. All file types are suported...

How long have you left it in the head unit while it says "File Check"? With 2.3GB, it may take a while to finish it's check.

Have you tried doing a disc scan of the flash drive with your computer? If there are file system issues on the drive, that could make the head unit unhappy.

According to the manual, file names can have up to 25 characters, but ID tags can be up to 128. It doesn't say what happens if you go beyond those limits. Check your folder/file name lengths.

If you're using a USB extension cord, try it without.
