Question about Computers & Internet
First, lets see if you can boot the computer into safe mode. When you see the Toshiba screen, Tap the F8 key until you see the multi-boot option menu. When this menu comes up, choose "safe mode with networking". Let safe mode boot up and say yes when it asks you if you want to boot to safe mode. Do you see a desktop in safe mode? If yes, then it is a user setting on your name account. This may be as easy as going to the start button and clicking on programs > accessories > systems tools > system restore > click on "restore my computer to an earlier time" > Go back a couple of weeks and select a Bold date and click next. It will ask you a few questions and just answer yes and start the restore. The computer will sign off and reboot at which time the restore process will begin. When it is finished it will advise you whether the restore was successful. Hopefully the computer will reset itself back to how it was before the black screen.
