1. A fan irregularity signal, excessive current draw due to binding. Examine M4 for obstructions which may bind the fan. Check the M4 fan lock signal (main CB, CN26-4) in the 47 mode, input code 42. The voltage should be between 0.1 to 0.2V DC. If 5V DC is present, either the fan is binding or the fan is defective. Replace M4 (p/n 25HA80512).
Note: If the fan lock signal is normal, install the version 17.0 EPROM (p/n 101517-17.0) to prevent false F54 errors as outlined in 1015/1212 Technical Bulletin #15.

2. IC7 on the main CB has shorted due to a failed total counter. IC7 shares the 24V DC control signal line with the exposure lamp, separation solenoid (SD1), registration solenoid (SD2), total counter, key counter, and cooling fan (M4). All loads except the total counter operate in diagnostics.
Replace the total counter (p/n 466088201) and the main CB (p/n 25HE-7312).

3. A poor connection between the cooling fan (M4) and the main CB. Reseat CN73 at M4 (cooling fan) and CN26 on the main CB.

F54 code after repair

Okay F54 is a motor over current doubt if bearing was original problem this a rotor stator setup you should get a little resistance with the motor installed since the rotor has magnets, this code can drive you nuts there could be a crack in the rotor magnets are they rusty did the original seal leak, check the stator resistance on the control board ohm out the 3 wires on terminal P5 1 to 3, 2 to 3 you should get 31 ohms +/- 5 to get into diagnostic make sure machine is off use any button except power, start, stop, pause/cancel press and hold for 3 seconds, release for 3 seconds do this till 88 displays press the same button within 5 seconds of 88 should hear a beep you are now in manual diagnostic slowly rotate the basket the wash, rinse and spin light should flash as you rotate if all of the checks are good you have either a bad rotor or a bad control hopes this helps.

Kenmore Elite oasis washer code F54

F54 is a Motor Control Overcurrent.
1) check to see if there is anything between basket and agitator this can cause this error.
2)move the basket .. should move freely
if all is clear then most likely you will need a new motor

F54 code

It is detecting a high current load when trying to turn the tub. Lift the top of the washer by using a putty knife and insert it between the top and front panels about 3 inches from each side, push in the clip and lift the top. You will find a tech sheet glued to the inside of the front panel in a plastic bag. Go to page 3 and look up your error code, it will refer you to page 4, test #3. I explains how to test the motor assembly.

When water starts coming in, washer gets a F54 code. what should i check?

This is what the fault is telling you:

F54(F54)-Motor Control Overcurrent

An overcurrent condition is either a wiring problem (lower harness) or a motor problem. (I.e short)

F then 54 flashes when the machine/motor control detects high current for the motor module.
Does basket turn freely? If not, determine cause of friction.
If basket turns freely, see TEST #3.

Test 3 is on this link just below mid page:

http://www.appliancepartsquick.com/WhirlpoolCabrioWasherFaultCodes.html

You will also need to perform Test 1 same page to verify any repairs.

Flashing on oven F54 shut off oven at circit

HI. This code is an indication of a shorted upper door latch circuit. This could have be caused by a malfunctioning relay board.

The necessary actions are to gain access to the upper door latch assembly, and test the circuit with a meter. Use the procedure below.

Before repairs or further testing can begin you must disconnect the electricity at the fuse panel, at the circuit breaker panel, or by pulling the plug. Make sure the power is off before proceeding. Set the latch to the "clean" position and test for circuit continuity at the terminals of the switch with your VOM's ohmmeter function. If there is no continuity, the switch is faulty. Use caution when testing.

NOTE_ If the upper door latch switch passes the test, simply replace the relay board.

Kenmore Elite Oasis Wash Machine Error Code F54

The F54 fault code indicates that the control board senses high motor current.
This can be caused by excessive friction in the spin basket.
With the washer off, open the lid and see if the basket spins freely.
If not, you may need to remove the basket and check for an item stuck between the spin basket and the outer washer tub.
The second and third images show procedures for removing the basket on the Oasis washer depending on whether you have an impeller or agitator in your model.
If the basket spins okay, then you can follow the technical troubleshooting described in the first image.
This may help you determine the cause of your washer problem.

F54 = Motor Control Overcurrent
Does the basket turn freely? If not, determine cause of friction.
There is a detailed repair manual inside the machine. If you open the top of the machine with a screw driver in the front you will find the manual on the inside of the front panel. Good luck
