Mod 417.94052500 won't heat

Have you tried to watch or listen to see if you hear it ignite and then it goes out or does it not try to ignite at all?
If it doesn't try to ignite at all, replace the igniter with this part.
If it ignites and goes out after a few seconds, replace the flame sensor with this part.

The igniter wasnt igniting.. i changed it. it ignites and gets hot for a few seconds then goes out. may have put the thing back together wrong. help

The problem is either the flame sensor or dryer coils. First check the flame sensor also called the radiant heat sensor for continuity. If it has none replace it. If it does have continuity the dryer coils need replacing. They are easy to check and replace. Here are a few links that should help

Check the air lines going to air pressure switch for cracks or splits. I know that will affect the gas valve but not sure if that is your problem.

Replace the flame sensor on the side of the heat canister. You may also have to replace the gas valve coils.

Flame shuts off after five seconds

HI! I BELIEVE THE PROBLEM YOU ARE HAVING IS CAUSED BY A PART CALLED THE THERMOCOUPLER. THIS IS A SAFETY DEVICE THAT SHUTS OFF THE GAS IF THE FLAME GOES OUT, BUT IT NEEDS HEAT TO MAINTAIN THE PROPER CIRCUIT. THIS MEANS THAT THE THERMOCOUPLER IS BAD AND NOT HOLDING THE GAS VALVE OPEN AS IT SHOULD. IT IS A SMALL THIN ROD TYPE THING THAT WILL BE VERY CLOSE TO THE PILOT OR IGNITER AND IT HAS TO FUNCTION PROPERLY TO ALLOW THE GAS TO CONTINUE TO FLOW. WHAT IT IS DOING IS GETTING JUST WARM ENOUGH TO OPEN THE GAS VALVE, BUT THEN THE IGNITER STOPS AND THE BAD THERMOCOUPLER COOLS AND TURNS YOUR GAS OFF. YOU NEED TO REPLACE THE THERMOCOUPLER AND YOU SHOULD BE BACK TO WARM CLOTHES IN NO TIME. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU. ANY QUESTIONS, JUST REPLY AND I'LL HELP MORE.
