Question about HP PhotoSmart M437 Digital Camera

Open Question

Was taking photo outside with M437 and several

Was taking photos outside with M437 and several came out fine then horizontal shadow lines appeared on subsequent photos. Video works fine. Found that if I take a flash photo in total darkness lines do not appear. Normal flash photos and non flash photos always appear with horizontal shadows/lines.

SOURCE: screen is perfect but after clicking photos have green patches and horizontal lines

Providing the images remain OK - Do They? It is best to ignore the problem, because there is no repair solution. You could get on the HP Technical Support Team to see what they have to say - this may be a manufacturing fault.

Photos are not clear and has lines

I have the same problem with my camera. Olympus tech says the lens needs to be replaced at $185+ and it's 18 months old with little use. Not happy, not worth it. Don't buy this camera.

When printing photos, several horizontal lines lines appear. How can I remove/prevent them?

It must the nozzle check is not perfect. Check nozzle and do head cleaning procedure. If there is just little nozzle clog ( 1 - 2 lines missing), you can get good result with best photo/photo rpm setting.

Contact Nikon on thier website, they will send you a reply and a link for return service and fix it for free. This website is no help, they want you to subscribe to a service before they reveal any info.

PowerShot A85 capture fault

Yup, it is a common problem. The shutter is jammed. I bet outside pictures are really overexposed. The horizontal lines are caused by the electronic noise created by the shutter solenoid trying to move the shutter. If the cameraq is no longer under warranty- Sometimes, you can free up the shutter by banging the camera in a hard surface like a desk or table. (Do this carefully, don't get carried away) If this doesn't work, you will need to replace the whole lens unit. this is best if the warranty is still good.
