Question about Dell Inspiron 8600 Notebook
I have a dell Inspiron 8600 and the Cd RW/DVD drive recently stopped working. When I put a CD or DVD in it makes some noises for about 15 seconds and then stops. When I go to My Computer it does not show that I there is a disk in the drive. Is there anything I can do, or is it time to invest in a new drive?
Also is it possible to replace the CD RW/ DVD drive with a drive that will burn both CDs and DVDs?
This problem occurs when the lens of the drive gets weak or broken
you can either buy a new drive or just get the lens of the old drive replaced
yes its possible to replace a cd rw/ dvd drive with a dvd rw drive
