Hi,
If your printer isn't printing and it's a new printer you've just taken it out of the box, first of all, look if it's plugged into the computer. If the printer is plugged into the computer, the next thing to check is if it's got power - is it plugged into a power outlet? If those things are plugged in, check if the software is loaded so that your computer can recognize the printer. If the printer still doesn't work, call the manufacturer or take it back to the store and switch it out. If it's an old printer, look to see if there's still ink in there. If the lights are flashing and it's telling you to replace the ink, that's what you have to do. If there's still ink left in the printer and it's not printing, chances are it's time to get a new printer.

Wont print


A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer. Reboot your pc. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer. Then try to print again once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection.


If that doesn't help, try the steps below:

1. Disconnect the printer from your computer.

2. Rebrick (pull out power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds).

2. On your computer, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes.

3. Delete the Lexmark print object.

4. Reboot your pc.

5. When your pc turns on, reconnect the printer.

6. Wait until your pc fully recognizes the USB connection. To check, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes. If you see a new Lexmark print object in the list, then try to print/scan again.

I got it hook up to my laptop and i wanted to print out 1 or 2 pictures. And it wont print.

I can't print anything at all. My printer will not start

reboot the computer and the printer..
then try to do a "Print Test Page"..if it still does not print, turn off the computer again, unplug the printer from the back of the computer ( I assume it's connected via USB), then plug the printer on a different usb slot on the computer.. you may have to re-install the drivers. make sure you have the cd for the printer.

I just put new ink Cartridges but still wont print


Hello,

Most of the time the "problem communicating with the printer" message pops up on Lexmark X1185 series when the driver gets corrupted. The best fix for this issue would be to uninstall the software first. Try connecting the USB to a different USB port (Please avoid using USB hubs, if any) and then reinstall the software. This should normally fix the printer communication issues!

My printer won't print from the computer command; it will print fax or copy a paper.


MY PRINTER WONT PRINT FROM THE COMPUTER. IT WILL COPY A PAPER, BUT NOTHING FROM THE COMPUTER COMMAND.

1-if you are in any application, word, windows etc... click on
File
Print
Is the printer there hp 6110 ( if not reinstall driver)
does it have a checmark next to it? no, then right click
go to properties
set as default
put your mouse over printer, does it say ready? no, check connection or change cable.
