Car CD Player doesn't work now

I recently had this Soundstream DVD Player connected to my Honda factory in-dash CD player. I am able to listen to the DVD audio via RF connection. Truthfully, I am really not satisfied with that quality of sound but I am even more unsatisfied since I now have to listen to my CD's in the DVD player by way of the RF connection as well. Can anyone tell me why I can't just use my Honda CD player that is in the car? I would like the most affordable option but I would like CD quality audio.
