Windows 2000 only supports up to the 137gb. With some registry edits it may show all. Try to google "windows 2000 hard drive size" and see what you come up with.

New ASUS A8V-MX motherboard will not boot to CD or HD with XP

The first thing is to make sure that your CD/DVD drive has the windows disk in it. Also check drive C which is where the windows will be installed. It may require that it is hard formated. Hard formatted means "format x /u" [format-space-drive to be formatted-space-right slash-u]. This will place the drive for "windows xp sp2", all of it, to one pass of zeroes. So, once we have a clean drive C and the installation disc is inserted into the CD/DVD drive, you may proceed to install. You will need to find "install" or "setup" and start it on he "RUN" mode. You could also try setting the jumper on the hard drive to "limit to 1.5gb/s".

PCI response time too long

Hi,

Found this info on another site, and it should help you out:

"you should try to manually define the IRQ for the PCI Slot where your Merging Card is in. Then, when you´re running Win2k, select "ACPI PC" and not "Uniprocessor PC" in the Manager "Computer"-section. Also set the Bios to NonPnpOS.
Those settings keep Windows from putting too much shared IRQs on your one. But be aware to select one, not used by the system. These settings gave me much more stability and speed than in auto mode." "try different slots, on every MB with more than 3 PCI Slots there is a sharing with the AGP-Slot and between to of the PCIs.
Also play around with the PCI Latency Timer in Bios" I can't take credit for it, but seemed very helpful. This was taken from THIS site (forums on Merging Technologies) If my solution does not help, I hope something on there can! --------------------------------------------- As for Tiger_Prince, You can download the Audio driver for your motherboard from from Asus's download page, in the "Please Select the Product ", first choose Motherboards, then in the next drop down choose Socket775, and in the final drop down choose P5GD2 Deluxe, then click search. When the new page loads, click on audio, then download the driver for your version of Windows. Hope I covered everybody!

AGP installation problems

If you do see the BIOS post but the screen turns black when your OS is loading, then the AGP-card should be OK. HOWEVER, you do need to uninstall your MB-video drivers before installing a new GPU.
