RCA 52WM24 COLORS SEPARATED, AND PICTURE IS BOWED IN MIDDLE
Last night, the set went black, then came back on, then went black again, then came on with the colors separated and a slight bow in the middle.I have set the convergence when I first installed the set, but now I have searched every page in the settings, and can't find the convergence settings anywhere. I read that someone said the convergence was dead, and to solder in a new kit? Could this be my problem, and whare is this located in the tv?

sounds like the auto convergence option has disappeared from the set up menu. Press menu and scroll to setup and then enter setup menu and see if the auto convergence is still listed there or has it disappeared?
Hi, This is a convergence problem and you can set it right by changing the STKs. It is a professional job and i have knowledge of people who ruined their tv by spoiling some miniature surface mounted components close by. You may need to look at pico fuses too. I would say seeek professional help if you not comfortable working with electronics. Check out at www.fixurtvs.com,
YOU HAVE A ALIGNMENT PROBLEM, ON YOUR BOW OR PINCUSION, OR A BAD RESISTOR, THE COLORS NOT LINING UP COULD BE A CONVERGENCE PROBLEM. I ADVISE YOU TO LET A EXPERT TO THIS DUE TO THE HIGH VOLATE ON THE CRT(PICTURE TUBE)
Here's all I find regarding bad convergence from the techrepairCD: RCA ~ITC222 D52W20~Convergence bad~~~ITC222~Replace leaky DL032 on deflection board~~~~~~
RCA~D52W20Y ATC221~Convergence goes out/bowed after on for a few minutes~~~ATC221~Problem may be on the deflection board. Was unable to pinpoint where in this case.~~~~~~
RCA~D52W20BYX1 ITC222~Convergence way off after replacing small signal board~EEPROMS were transferred over to new board~~~IK210 was defective..transfer the new EEPROM back over.~Remember on these sets*when replacing the SSB* if there is a small P on corner of screen*hold volume on remote for 8 seconds after it reaches minimum.~~~~~
RCA~D52W20BYX1 ITC222~Can not align blue convergence* bottom really bowed* possibly either color after replacing SSB.(Or no auto convergence.~(Service menu: turn power off for 30 seconds* press vol dn and ch dn* simultaneously for 8 seconds* set turns on with service menu options)~~ITC222~In service menu* select convergence. If sensor calibration was performed when convergence was too far off* it will not alighn.~Get crosshatch with straight lines* perform sensor calibration* then attempt convergence alignment again. Be sure to store settings* then do sensor calibration again.~You must get a green flash of the screen after sensor cal and a check in the box. RED flash indicated convergence settings are too far off~~~~
RCA~D52W20BYX1 ITC222~no convergence correction~~~ITC222~LP650 (259271) DP670 (259246) & RP632 (259564) 4.7 3W on convergence power supply board~~~~~~
There is a convergence printed circuit board that likely has a few bad components. If you decide to get it repaired, the technican will probably check for fluid leaks from the picture tubes coolant area which has given problems on this model also. If the picture quality leaves a bit to be desired, it may be a wise move to upgrade to HDTV. A Sony KDS-55A20 model has a great picture and should be less than $2300. I just saw one at a local Sams Club store.
