Hi there,
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

Here's a link to this great service

Good luck!

I want to change my blogspot blog template but i m not decide,whos template is best for my website http://goidea.co.cc i want full seo friendly good looking blogger template please help me.

Hello,

I am using a variation on the 'Simple' template. It is clean and easy to read.

See what you think at http://www.codesingh.com.

I get plenty of hits so from a seo point I think it will be ok. Although I'm not sure if it is fully dependent on the template as Blogger is quite good for seo anyway.

Thanks

How to align an adsense widget on a blogger website

Edit the HTML template then click the check box in Expand Widgets Template box at top right of Edit Template text box either scroll down OR I always use Ctrl+F type in the code

spideray_3.jpg

If you have multiple adsense widgets they will be sequential ie adsense1, adsense2,...... it will be trial and error to find the one you require or you could just align all of them to make it easier.

Improve Blogger PageRank by optimizing post page title

As each post is having its own title , chances are there for the results to be in top pages.Now we can do this by performing a simple edit on blogger template

Open edit HTML section

Now press Ctrl+F and search for

<data:blog.pagetitle/>

Replace that code with the code in the following box and save your template.

<b:if cond= 'data:blog.pageType == "index"'>
<data:blog.title/>
<b:else/>
<data:blog.pageName/>
</b:if>

Well it does not mean that this trick will improve blogger PageRank to a great level . It depends on quality of your backlinks, content and many other factors.

If you have created a website that is powered by googles blogger interface and ...

If you have created a website that is powered by googles blogger interface and you have moved it from the blogspot domain to a custom domain you might want to remove the blogger favicon from the search tab.

Here are several tutorials showing the easiest way to do it.

First you might want to backup your existing template either do this using the export or copy and paste it to notepad, this also gives you a great way of searching the template for the correct place to add the new HTML.

HOST FAVICON ONLINE: Upload favicon to an external web host, such as your Picasa album (which is automatically created for you when you upload pictures to your Blogspot).

If you've uploaded your favicon to Picasa, then click on the uploaded image. Click on "Link to this photo" (currently on the right side of the screen). Under "Embed Image", check "Image Only (no link"). Copy the embedded image URL. This is the location (URL) of your favicon.

ADD FAVICON TO BLOGGER: Visit your Blogger dashboard or Blogspot account. Click on "Layout", then "Edit HTML". You should now be presented with a screen allowing you to edit the HTML of your blog template.

Within the HTML, near the top, you should see:
[title][data:blog.pageTitle/][/title]

Immediately beneath that line of code, paste the following:
<*>

Replace the asterisk (*) with the following:
link href='*' rel='shortcut icon' type='image/x-icon'/

Replace this asterisk (*) with the URL for your favicon image.

SAVE YOUR TEMPLATE & TEST: Save your Blogger template, then click on "View Blog". If the favicon does not appear in your address bar, then try refreshing your browser. If you still do not see it, clear your browser's cache file and restart the browser. Renavigate to your blog.

Favicon Creator: Free from HTML Kit

Secondly you CAN host the favicon to a hosting website that will allow favicons, NOTE: neither of the main sites PenguinPic, Photobucket nor imageshack do this one of the easiest ways to host it and get the HTML code is to use

http://www.iconj.com

They have an simple to use upload service that will generate the HTML code that you need to add to your blogger template

Finally you need to copy and paste the code that the website generated to the blogger template. The best place to add the code is directly after the code shown belows if you are using firefox you can use the CRTL + F to search it when found it will be highlighted green

64643f8.jpg

or use the notepad copy and paste the entire code and search as normal

</b:skin>

then paste the code surrounded by the comments that will allow you to find it more easily

EXAMPLE

76ce38e.jpg

When you save the template you will see that the favicon has changed from the default blogger for the one you created.

If you are using the old Blogger template instead of the New Blogger xml template,and paste the favicon codes immediately after this line of code:

<$BlogMetaData$>

If you are using your own Webserver

Is another cool site that will allow you to resize and create your favicon.jpg is http://www.genfavicon.com there you can then upload the resulting JPG to another hosting site if you choose to or your own web server root folder then insert this HTML to the head of your webpage

How to edit / remove the Attribution Widget from a blogger page

Most if not all blogger templates come with a attribution widget that you are unable to remove however you can edit it although this is limited and you need to know where to look on the HTML template.

b415c70.jpg

When you have completed this simple edit you will be able to remove the widget like all the others.

First search for these lines of code about 3/4 way down the template.

8bd6893.jpg

With the older templates all you need to do is to Comment-out the code that displays the Attribution gadget, by putting it inside these characters so it ends up looking like this you must also make sure that you have checked the Expand Widgets Box. Accept it then save the widget.
Then save the template and that is.

In the newer XML all you need to do is to change the locked='true' to read locked='false' this will allow you to remove it should you choose to.

How to add a Favicon.ico to your Blogger powered Website

If you have created a website that is powered by googles blogger interface and you have moved it from the blogspot domain to a custom domain you might want to remove the blogger favicon from the search tab.

Upload favicon to an external web host, such as your Picasa album (which is automatically created for you when you upload pictures to your Blogspot). you will only be able to upload the animated GIF file not the ICO file.

[title][data:blog.pageTitle/][/title]

Immediately beneath that line of code, paste the following line

OR you can just use this line of code if the template wont save due to an XML error.

Replace this asterisk (URL) with the link for your favicon image on Picasa, you must make sure that the image sharing is set to public

Save your Blogger template, then click on "View Blog". If the favicon does not appear in your address bar, then try refreshing your browser. If you still do not see it, clear your browser's cache file and restart the browser. Renavigate to your blog.

How to remove OR hide the Blogger Navbar from your Weblog

I am a serial blogger and even though I sometimes follow other peoples blogs using the navbar I don't really like to see it on my blogs.

ec5f551.jpg

This is a simple and easy way to hide it from which ever browser you are using all you need to do is add these lines of HTML;

#navbar {
height: 0px;
visibility: hidden;
display: none;
}

First goto your Weblog Dashboard and click on Design and Edit HTML as shown

8498a71.jpg

This will bring up the template template editor for you to enter the code see the example the shown below you need to add the HTML code that is shown in blue below the Blogger Template style

9c79edd.jpg

If you are unsure about what might happen then I suggest that you backup the template prior to the change and also open the preview in another tab

Sometimes you might see #navbar-iframe already in the template if this is the case this is not a problem it just means that the template that you are using has the navbar in an iframe OR internal frame it will still work fine just hide the entire iframe using these two lines of HTML.

#navbar-iframe {
display: none;
}
