Question about HP D4360 DeskJet Printer InkJet

Open Question

Help. My printer will not feed paper properly and the cartridges are permanently on the left as you look at the printer. I have switched all off and on but it remains the same. When you press the 'arrow down' button on the printer the printer pulls the paper back and then forward a few centimeters. Roger

Turn the printer off
Open the back door and
gently turn the paper roller upward until it clicks. Make sure the door is securely closed. Wait a few more minutes then turn the print back on. I hope this helps.

SOURCE: Paper won't feed through HP 1012

The drum shutter may have become slightly dislodged. That is the cover on the bottom of the cartridge that swings open when installed. It should swing freely and fully cover the drum when closed. Does it seem OK (compared to the other cartrifge)?
Is it a remanufactured unit? I've seen it happen on them sometimes. There's no easy way to fix it other than getting a replacement. Outside of that I don't know what the problem may be. does the printer work ok with the old unit? If so, I'd just return the defective cartridge.

We had a paper jam and although we got the paper out it won't feed properly anymore.

Try to remove the sheets of paper from the feeder. Open the printer cover and remove the cartridges. Make sure there are no torn piece/s of paper left in the cartridge area or in the paper path. Close the cover. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, re-insert the cartridges and close the cover. Load some paper. Try to print again.

Our printers epson c42ux red light is on stand still

A permanently on red light can mean several things. If the green light is also ON, it means that you heve no paper loaded, an empty or faulty ink cartridge, or a jammed paper feed. I presume you have loaded paper. You say you have changed the ink cartridges. Note that BOTH cartridges must have ink for the printer to work. The simplest way to check this, or to check for a faulty cartridge, is to try another new set of cartridges - compatible cartridges are very cheap on EBay - about £3 a set in the UK.

To check for jammed paper, remove the paper from the sheet feeder and look carefully inside it, and inside the printer (lift the lid) for scraps of jammed paper. Remove any you see. Press the ink/paper feed button and see if it goes through a paper feed cycle. Reinsert the paper and try it again. If it works, turn the printer off and on again, and it should now be OK.

If the green light is OFF, it means you have a Carriage problem, i.e. something is fouling the print head when it tries to go from side to side. Check this with manual movement. Turn the printer off. After a few seconds, turn it back on again. As soon as the print head moves, pull the power cord out of the back of the printer. You should now be able to move the print head across to the left side (gently!) by hand, then move it back to the right and see if it will go fully into its parking bay at the right hand end. You should be able to tell if someting is hindering its movement anywhere.

Please report back with a new comment if none of this solves the problem.

Cx3650 Problem with paper feeder

There could be an issue with the gear inside your printer now that is why it is not feeding the paper through properly anymore. Please try this basic troubleshooting steps:
Turn off the printer. Disconnect the USB cable from your printer. Open up the whole scanner unit to see if there are objects blocking the way of the printhead or if there are any objects down the paper feed area. Check if the cartridge cover is closed properly. Toggle the paper guide left to right back to the proper position. Load 10 to 20 sheets of regular paper into the printer. Turn the printer back on. Do a standalone copy.
If it does the same thing, please log on to support.epson.com. Click on help me find a service center to the right of the page to find an epson certified servicer near to your area.

I have brought a replacement cartridge (black) for the Epson D92 stylus printer I folowed the usuel steps and sucsesfully printed 4 or 5 b&w pages now the printer does not seem to except the cartridge...

This may or may not work on your model

"Press and hold the paper feed, paper switch and the power switch.

Once the power light and paper light flashes twice and the other lights are flashing release the paper feed and paper switch "and then press the paper feed switch".

The power, paper and ink lights will flash twice. At this point the protection counter has been reset."

The Protection Counter referred to above prevents you from printing once the printed pages counter reaches a predetermined threshold.

If this doesn't work, let me know.

Worldvet

Blank lines and doesn't feed properly

Please clean the print nozzles :
  1. Hold the cartridge upside down, with the bar-code label facing you and take a damp paper towel.
  2. Use the towel to wipe the printhead of the cartridge on the bottom (where the ink comes out). Wipe the printhead horizontally in one direction only (left to right).
  3. Continue doing this until it looks clean.
  4. Then dab the cartridge on the towel to make sure the ink is flowing.
  5. Next, look inside the printer and locate the carrier that holds ink cartridges. Caution: Make sure the cartridges are not installed at this point.
    1. Look for a shiny piece of metal underneath the contacts at the back of the carrier.
    2. Take a damp cotton swab (use water only!) and wipe along the bottom of the shiny metal piece. Note: You may need more than one swab.

  1. Paper jam:

If the paper is lodged too far into the printer and can't be removed:
  1. Press the power button to turn the printer off.
  2. Pull firmly on the paper to remove it. If you can't reach the paper because it is too far in, raise the front cover and remove the paper from the front of the printer.
  3. Close the front cover.
  4. Press the power button to turn the printer back on.
  5. Resend your document to print.
Ensure that:
  • The paper is a recommended paper for inkjet printers.
  • You do not force the paper down into the printer when you load it. For example, if you are loading letter or A4 size paper, the top edge of the paper should extend above the top of the sheet feeder.
  • The printer is on a flat, level surface.
  • The left paper guide is against the side of the paper.
  • You do not load too much paper in the sheet feeder. Depending on the thickness of your paper, the sheet feeder can hold up to 100 sheets of paper.
  • The left paper guide does not cause the paper to bend in the sheet feeder.
  • Your printer feeds regular paper as expected. If regular paper feeds without causing problems, load the envelopes vertically against the right side of the sheet feeder. Make sure the paper guide is against the side of the envelopes.
  • Envelopes or the appropriate specialty papers are selected in the printer driver.
  • You are using a paper or envelope size supported by your printer.

Samsung ML 2510 printer won't feed paper

I have experienced the same problem . . . a little earlier this evening. I took all the inner components out, took apart the toner cartridge, I thought that the gearing was very hard to turn on it and on the inside of printer, paper feeding etc... and that is wear the loud noise is coming from. Out of desparation, I shook it to hear if anything internally was loose and there was and still is, I would not say its the best solution or by any means a permanent but you may be able to dislodge the debris from the gearing and be able to print. After it was dislodged from my printers gearing it has worked again. Though I believe it's temporary. I am looking for a guide or how-to on opening the printer casing to physically remove the debris. If you know of a guide let me know and I am sure it would help you too.
