I need to change the channel on my netgear wgr614, don't know how

I need to change the channel on my netgear wgr614 wireless router. I was advised to do this because there is interference with my apple airport express. The apple tech suggested I do this channel change, but I don't know how.

Connect to the router by typing in the address bar of a browser.
if it asks for the id and password enter
id = admin
password = admin or password or leave it empty

go to Wireless Settings and Change the Channel using the drop down box. Save the settings.

I have a problem with a wireless router wgr614. Some kind of fluid was leaking from him, and he stoped working. I don't know if some kondensator went wrong, but the fluid does not make any sence. please...

This is because the router has gone bad. turn off your router first and unplug all the cables connected to it.Then contact your Netgear and get your router replaced if you have the warranty period.

Can't connect to the internet


You need to changed the channel number of wireless router, for that you need login to netgear router.

open internet explore and type there then press enter,it will ask you for user name and password
typed user name as "admin" and password as"password"
now click on wireless setting which is under setup
now you can change channel into 09
now try to reconnect wireless

Your issue is with the Wii wireless setup not the Netgear.
Please follow the wireless setup from Wii manual.

STEP 1: Logging on to router page
1. Open up the Internet Browser says Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Netscape Navigator, Safari, etc.
2. Put in address box.
3. Put the default login info while prompt i.e. ‘Username: admin’, ‘Password: password (unless you changed it)’

Steps 2 : On the left hand site u will see block sites..
-- Just delete the intial Y there
-- apply and save the changes

And ur issue will be resolved

I am trying to change my wireless router (netgear) channel to 11 but dont know how

Fr that you will need to access the rotuerset up.
Once you open the router set up you will be able to see the option for the wireless settings.
Do you have any computer connected to the router?
If not then you will need to connect the computer to the router.

Yes changing channel will make a diffeence most of the time for this kind of issue. The reason is there could be multiple routers or interference in that area locking to the same frequency.

You might want to change the channel on it especially if you have another wireless network nearby. Change it to channel 11 as well as your devices and it should go away.

Click on "Wireless Settings"
Here, change your channel to another extreme. For Ex., if its currently at 3, change it to 12.
