Amana les60aw gets hot in dryer but clothes wont dry. cleaned out vent, shortend exhaust hose. noticed an orange glow coming from back vents when i turned it back on???

The orange glow is the heating element working. It mush have good air flow or the coil will burn out and stop heating. Also the thermal limit will stop the heat if to great. If you went all through the vent and the tubing is not smashed or flat check the outside vent for air circulation, if good try to dry a load of clothes. Are you sure your washer is spinning out well? Wet clothes take longer to dry.

Gas or electric? Gas - Igniter unit needs replacing. Electric - Heating element needs replacing

No heat

If this is a GAS dryer make sure that the igniter or pilot light has not gone out. If this is an electric dryer, check the vent to make sure it has not clogged up and prevents the air from circulating in the dryer.

Otherwise if it is an electric dryer, make sure the heating element has not blown a fuse or burnt out.

most likely, there is a blockage in your exhaust. take it apart and check every inch from your dryer to the outdoors. i clean mine once a year, it keeps the dryer running efficiently. when lint backs up in there, the heat cannot get out and there is a sensor that will shut off the heating element when it gets to a certain temp, so your clothes will take a long time to dry

Dryer does not get hot enough to dry clothes Roper REX4634KQ1 Electric Dryer

Most common cause of this is a clogged venting going to the outside to test this remove the vent from the back of the dryer and run a load if it drys ok them you know you have a venting issue and will need to be cleaned out if not plz repost and we can look deeper into it

Dryer not drying

Check your lint filter. Put it under running water to see if the water goes through it. Chances are it is clogged up. Wash it and put it back. Should do the trick.
