Question about Canon imagePROGRAF IPF710 Printer

Open Question

Before replacing a print head in a Canon imagePROGRAF iPF710, can it be cleaned by any other means (beyond what the cleaning head can do)? There are less than 1000 prints and the head is already bad. at $700 each, I would like to try something else to clear the problem before buying new.

Many nozzle on printhead did not inject .
You must clean your head or replace it. Or comes up in service mode

Cleaning kit print head canon Image prograf 710

I have always cleaned prinheads leaving them on a saucer with warm water for some time. Preferably, deionized water if it is a problematic printhead. I expect the cleaning kit is something of the sort. But Canon ipf 710 seems to have a fixed use time, having the printer rejecting the printhead after exacly one year use even if it is in perfect conditions. Try to make print test in service mode before you use up all your ink in useless cleanings.

if after the code you had to shutter down, and then the plotter made a head cleaning, we fix just putting a little of oil in the band, in the section were the head print moves.

We have a Canon iPF700 plotter. Keeps flashing message about print heads needing cleaning which is not resolved by pressing cleaning button. Probably needs a service. Number of good engineer in our area...

First print a nozzlle check pattern. Check all colors. If the problem is in any other color than cyan then you can fix this issue. If not you'll have to replace the head with a new one.
Try to update the firmware also to version 1.32 (for iPF700) and 1.35 (for iPF710) and check the result.
