I had that problem too and learned that it does not happen when I use a genuine Nikon Battery.

Late display of picture in lcd in d90 camera what is the trouble in camera

This may be due to a slow or faulty memory card. If the card is damaged, etc. the camera may be "hung up" trying to transfer the image from the buffer to the memory card. Only after this process is complete, can it attempt to display the image to you on the screen. After the images are on the card, and you want to display one or more, the whole process begins again with the camera trying to read the data from the card to be displayed on the screen.

Try again with a new / different card. Be sure to FORMAT the card in the D90 (not in a card reader / computer, etc.) prior to taking any photos.

If you still have problems, you may need to send the camera in to Nikon Service for repair.

Can the Nikon D90 stamp the date and time on a photograph

The camera won't deface your photos by scrawling a string of numbers across them. However the date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

My nikon D90 will not take photos. It sounds like the photo is taken but is not writing to the memory card. I can read/review photos aleady on the card and do anything but write to the card. This has...

I'd suggest formatting your memory card, which is something you should do every you use the camera anyway. Obviously you need to copy any important photos to your PC before the format. These cards also have a write protection lock, so make sure that is not on, although the camera should warn you in that event.

Nikon d90, blinking "Error"

You "release the shutter" by pressing the shutter release button, often called the shutter button. That's the button you press to take a picture :-)

The camera may or may not return to normal after that. If it doesn't, remove the battery, then put it back in and turn the camera on again. Try removing and reattaching the lens (with the power off). If the problem persists, have a certified Nikon tech look at it.

My Nikon d90 monitor does not display when I turn it on.

By default the D90 is set to use the viewfinder for framing and taking pictures. If you wish to disable that and use the monitor, press the "LV" button on the back just above the multiselector.

Is there a memory card in the camera?

Also try cleaning the contacts on the lens (light rub with a pencil eraser works).

Go to the menu on the camera and navigate to the FORMAT command. Formatting the card in the camera should clear all photos.
