Hello,
Adjust contrast : Hold down [C] key and press [+] to increase contrast or [-] to decrease it.

Diagnostic tests (from the Users manual)
1. Hold down [C] key and press [LN]; may have to repeat several times.
2. Press and hold down [C] key and press and hold down both the square root key AND the Sigma + key. When all keys are released, MEMORY CLEAR is displayed.
3. Remove batteries and lightly press a coin against both battery contacts in the calculator. Iy should say MEMORY CLEAR.

If these steps fail to restore calculator operation, it requires service.

Hope it helps.

I have a First Alert 9120B that beeps periodically during the night. I have replaced the battery a couple different times, but the problem not resolved. The unit is only 3 years old.

Battery used should be a fresh alkaline type. If unit still does it with a spanking new, high current battery then the circuitry of unit is not properly monitoring battery condition and responsible for the beeping. You might have to replace the unit.
On some new systems the individual alarms are interwired so that when one goes off the others will also. If you have that sort of system best to check out all units for battery condition since a bad battery in one will trigger others.

Changed battery and changed all detectors and they still cherp

Try installing all new batteries. Latest installs have the individual units also hard wired to each other so that when one goes off the others are triggered. When a battery is weak in unit it often causes the main unit to chirp along with some of the others in sympathy. If still no improvement and all batteries are brand new, then either get new units or disconnect the hard wiring between all units.
They will still work but without the nasty global feature.

Why isn't outdoor temperature displayed on indoor unit?

I have a La Crosse unit right in front of me and it is showing +18 F tonight. Saturday, we are supposedly going to sub-zero.
With regard to your problem, La Crosse instructions are very specific about the battery replacement procedure. Remove all batteries from both units, then install new batteries in the outdoor unit. Allow time for the outdoor unit to "initialize" and begin sending temperature data. Install new batteries in the indoor unit and you should see the outdoor temperature displayed.

Model 00754W4 does not sense outside temperature..new batteries have been placed correctly in both inside and outside units..noW what do I do?

We would recommend a reset of your unit. Please verify that you are using good-quality, standard alkaline batteries such as Energizer or Rayovac, then follow the steps below.
1. Bring both the sensor and display unit indoors and remove at least one battery from each.
2. Make sure the A-B-C switch on both units match. Sometimes changing to a different channel can help.
3. Reinstall the battery in the outdoor sensor.

4. Reinstall the battery in the display unit.
5. Let the units sit within a couple feet of each other for about 20 minutes to gain a strong connection.

CP685AVR/BF685 Power Contro.

It is likely the battery. These batteries are designed to last 3-6 years in a UPS. The good news is that if it is the battery, it is completely user replaceable and you'll have a Cyber Power unit that works just like new with a new battery. What may have happened is that the battery was weak, and you may have had a slight dip in the AC power. This caused the Cyberpower unit to switch over to the weak battery which couldn't handle the load. The unit then turned off. When you press the "ON" button, the unit will go through a self-test that checks all of the components and the unit will not turn on and be functional unless all of the components come back with a PASS, including the battery. If possible, test the battery with a voltmeter, it should read around 13.5, but not lower than 11.5v DC. However, with the unit over 3 years old, it almost certainly the battery. Here's a link to a replacement battery for the CP685AVR: http://www.batteryinternational.com/cyber-power-cp685avr-ups-battery-ups-batteries-f1.html

Hope this helps.
