Definitely sounds like a bad battery. Don't know how old the battery is but they do run down and fail to hold a charge over time. This is especially true when the laptop never runs the battery down and is constantly running with the charger connected. Batteries need to "cycle" to maintain their ability to hold and accept a new charge. A new battery should solve your problem.
if you have a battery charger and a friend[extra set of hands] you will not have to reset anything including your radio presets. remove battery hold down, loosen battery terminal bolts, hook battery charger up to terminals, have your second set of hands hold the terminals up and out of the way with the charger still hooked up to them, lift out old battery, put new one in, put terminals back on and disconect charger. tighten terminals and put battery hold down back on.
pull the battery out and unplug from power, Hold the power button down for 30 seconds (really hold it down for 30 seconds :-D ). Put the battery back in and reconnect charger.
Try running the battery all the way down by letting the vacume run in a corner or another room and even when it stops leave it on for a hour to drain the battery. Then shut the switch off and try charging the battery. Make sure the charger is putting out enough volts by looking at the rated output of the charger and while it is plugged in check it with a volt meter. If it does not hold a charge and the charger is putting out the right voltage you need to purchase a new battery for the vacume
1 charger 2.battery 3.charging port There are three ares to look at, There are three different things you can try to determine the real problem of your phone, firstly, try use a similar charger to charge the phone to see if it will hold charge, if it does, it means your charger is bad, get a new charger. secondly, another area you will need to look at is removing the battery on your phone and charging the battery of your phone with a similar phone to see if the phone will charge the battery and hold charge, if it did not, it means the battery of your phone is bad and will need to be replace, lastlt, check, the charging port of your phone might be malfunctioning and not charging your phone, if the two above look good, it means the charging port is the problem, replace the charging port and you will see that your phone will hold charge.
Since the battery and charger are new and yet it does not still hold charge.
Have put the battery in another similar phone and try to charge with your charger to see if it will hold charge? if you have.
It means the charging port of your phone is bad and you will need to replace it.
The charger is not charging the battery in anyway because the charging port is bad, so just change your charging port, your phone will now hold charge.
if you have bought a new battery and charger , and it still will not hold a charge. you might have bought a bad battery or charger , also the fan dosent allways run so the fan going off is not a sign of a dead battery. depress the trigger or safety and the fan should start up again
the charger light detect the battery level charge, shows red when charging and green when fully charged.when the charger light is not lit,may be the battery dosnt hold any charge that means its likely that the battery is defective
This seems to be a common problem for the env2. If you hold your charger a certain way in the phone does it charger? Is the charger port broken or damaged?
If so the easiest workaround is to get an external battery charger and extra battery to charge the phone.
Check out the following link for information on the battery charger and other options for the env2 charge issue.
If the phone is not charging or charging is irregular, then problem is either battery , charger socket on phone, or charger itself.
If it does not charge at all, then it is either the battery or the charger.
If it does not hold charge then it is the battery.
If charging is erratical then it is either the charger connector/socket, or the ac charger.
The best thing to do is going to a phone shop, having the charger and the battery checked by the guys at the shop and replacing either the battery or the phone charger.
