Are your other mouses USB? What version of windows are you running? Have you shut down your computer and unplugged the old one... Then plug the new one in and start it up..

Did you install the driver? is there a pop-up that the driver is installed? after recognizing the mouse did you wait for a minute? try to plug it again and watch carefully in the lower right corner in your desktop if it really installed or read. if the mouse is read then you must restart the pc to make it work.

Curser will not move from center of screen. I repaced batteries, sincronized with part that goes into the computer. Tried to turn-off and restart computer, resincronized again, curser still doesnot move.

I am not sure what device you are having a problem with so can't diagnose problem the best. The word cursor implies the mouse. Make sure the mouse has fresh batteries and is synced withh the wireless transmitter by pushing the reset button on both. If not go to start, control panel, devices, mouse and set each setting. Lastly a mouse is not seen by the computer unless it is plugged in and a reboot is then done. Hope this helps.

When I boot my notebook up I can't move the curser, it is stuck on one person to sign on, the curser is not positioned on that persons name either.

TRy plugging in an external USB mouse. If the mouse is OK then the touch pad has failed.
Check the touch pad driver in the control panel then Device manager.
Hope this helps.

Acer monitor frozen & curser will not move.

If your mouse will not move, it is a problem with the computer, Make sure you're plugging it into the correct port. If it's a ps2 mouse don't plug it into the keyboard port by mistake.

Does the keyboard work? If you press the windows key does the start menu come up?

If the keyboard works, try using a USB mouse. If the keyboard does not work, try plugging the keyboard in where the mouse is and the mouse in where the keyboard is.
