Question about Bushnell 5 Day Weather Station Battery

2 Answers

I own three FX5 weather stations and none of these units will receive a network signal. The units worked five for about a month but now it will only search for a network. I have even moved the unit outside and still no reception. I also tried to register the unit at bushnellmyambient.com but there is no place to register. Thank you in advance Ron

Me too i have been through 4 of the fx 5`s myself, they work from five days to two weeks then they quit, as there is NO place to register ? no instructions if you have to register ?, as far as i am concerned these are not worth the time, effort or mostly throwing your money away, and don`t try to call Bushnell, you will be put on hold, i guess everyone that got these for Christmas of 09 is calling about what to do with them, this may be one of the big mysterys of 09 not solved., and it does not matter what location you try from they just plain don`t work !! ` end of story!!!

Wish i had read these reviews earlier - tihs product is a LIE and a complete rip-off. IT DOES NOT WORK AND THEIR SUPPOSED "REGISTRATION" SITE DOES NOT EXIST

for us this product worked great for a couple of months but then stopped working altogether and became useless trash and clutter, exactly what so many other people had complained us was suddenly our fate also. upon examining the materials i saw a little tag on the back about registering the product at "bushnell.myambient.com" and so i figured maybe that was somehow the problem, but if you go to this web address there is absolutely no discussion whatsoever about registration and NO WAY TO REGISTER in any event. clearly i am not the first person to have exactly this experience (weirdly identical our experiences!), but i am probably the stupidest because i should have looked at the reviews first!!! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND WRITE TO YOUR BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU TO COMPLAIN, and if you do not have time for a head-ache save your money and check weather online - something that actually works, imagine . bushnell should face charges for this fraudulent product.

These reviews are a shock to me. I have two of them, one upstairs and one downstairs in the house. They both have been working fine for the past two or more years. They are not on battery, rather are plugged into an outlet. There was only one day when they both went haywire, literally had temperatures showing in the 60's when it was actually 90 or more. That lasted one day and then they corrected themselves. I was actually searching the internet for another one and came across this site and these reviews. I'm in Connecticut and I love scrolling through to see what weather is in other parts of the country without having to fire up my computer. So, in contrast to all these bad reviews, I have nothing but great experiences with these.

Why can't I receive input from the outside sending unit?

Make sure that all the batteries are good!!
This procedure outlines the typical process to pair the sensor and base.
Base Station Battery Installation

·Remove the printed vinyl label from the LCD screen of the base station
·Position the remote sensor near the base station
·Open the battery compartment at the back of the base station and insert (2) AA batteries according to the polarity markings. Replace the battery compartment cover.
·Within a short time the RF signal icon (located to the left of the outdoor temperature channel indicator) will start flashing. This indicates that the base station is ready to pick up the RF outdoor temperature signal from the remote sensor. It will continue to flash for 3 minutes or until the signal from the remote sensor is detected.

Register the Remote Sensor
·Open the battery compartment at the back of the remote sensor and slide the channel selector switch to your desired channel. For the first remote you may select any channel, for additional remotes select any unused channel
·Insert (2) AAA batteries according to the polarity markings. Be sure to install the batteries in the remote within the time that the RF signal icon is flashing on the base station. 1541 WeatherGuide Wireless Weather Forecaster with Barometer

Next tech weather station is. Not w

Try taking the inside unit outside as close to the transmitting unit as possible for three minutes. The signal might lock on to the setting you want to receive.

Weather FX7 not changing

I have the same unit and have had the same problem . There should be at least two to three bars on the most upper right hand corner of the screen which pulls in the updated conditions If you have none I have tried , there is a tiny pin hole on the bottom back (center) - with a small pin I stuck it in and the unit rebooted an works fine now

Auriol 4-LD3091 weather station will not pick up sensor

I had the same problem and gave up on the unit for a while, then I had another attempt and found this worked for me. Take the batteries out of both units (receiver and outside sender) then reinsert the batteries BUT put the batteries into the outside sender unit FIRST, this seems to make the difference as when you then put the batteries into the indoor base-station it detects the outside temperature signal immediately as it starts to set itself up .

Cannot get the weather station model ws-916ou-it to show outside temperature

I have three of these WS-916OU-IT units. After a few years, the outside sensor just fails. You will get dashes and a "TR" low battery signal, even if the batteries are good
just buy another whole weather station (short money) and set both the old and new weather station unit to receive from the single new outdoor sensor.
To do this - just follow the procedure for a single sensor - that is - put the batteries in the new sensor - then within 30 seconds - put the batteries in all the weather stations - they will all pick up the same outdoor sensor.
I now have three units running off of one outdoor sensor.
Seems a bit silly, but it works.

My acu-rite wireless thermometer model #00604RX isn't capturing the wireless sensor signal..both have new batteries and worked before changing old battery..reset the buttons too...help

Double check the batteries and the direction in which they are installed. If there is one backwards in the sending unit that is outside, it will not send a signal. Also, there is typically one battery in the indoor unit that is responsible for receiving the signal from the outdoor unit. If all of the batteries are in correctly except that battery, you will see the display, but will not get the data transmitted from the outside sending unit.

The weather Forecast Icons don't change on my honeywell weather station model # TE852W

Hi,

This problem could arise due to various reasons
1)Replace the batteries in remote sensors
When the batteries are properly installed, the remote weather sensor will resume sending signals to the main unit.To enforce an immediate remote signals search, press and hold
DOWN on the main unit.

2)Remote thermo-hygrometer sensor could be weak in sending the signal about weather Forecast.Test it properly.

3)Reset the unit and check

post a comment for further assistance.
Thank you for using fixya have a nice day:-)

Dashes in my outdoor weather reading of Oregon Scientific station

The signals are not being received by the main unit. Try to reposition the unit or move it to a different location. Also make sure the antenna is in the clear and not next to any thing like a cordess phone or charger as these can make RF noise that can block or cover the needed signals.
