Error code is short protection

The most common reason for this in the WS65809 is that one of the two 5 amp pico fuses that protect the Convergence circuit are blown.

The set detects no voltage and shuts down.

This model uses two STK-392-570 Convergence IC's that fail after several years because the heat sink grease used to transfer heat from them to the metal heat sink dries out--one of the chips reaches a point where it cannot stay cool and fails.

You can buy both chips on Ebay for about 14 dollars for a pair plus shipping. If you are able to do this repair you can save a lot of money as most shops charge 300-400 for this kind of repair.

I do lots of them (done hundreds here) of them for 200-250 total.

If you cannot do the repair--shop around in your area and make sure whoever you get to do changes both chips! Aside from the 2 fuses there are also some resistors in front of them that need to be checked. If a shop tells you "it has to go to the shop" keep looking as any good tech can do this repair in your home in about 1 hour.

This set should be worth fixing---you are not going to be able to replace it for what a reasonable repair should cost--

If you have any questions or need help--reply to this posting here and I will assist you further---I am not allowed here to post MY email address so if you need help let me know.

Hi I have a panasonic split air conditioner. It turns itself off immediately after turning on, the timer button then flashes and that's all.... I have checked for an error code it is H00. I have also made...

Hi Tania,
Have you gone through this checking sequence.? it's from a Panasonic a/c manual. It could be something as simple as a clogged filter. Once you have rectified the fault, you will probably have to clear the fault code as described at bottom below, before it will condescend to work again.
David
  • Once error occurred during operation, the unit will stop its operation, and Timer LED blinks.
  • Although Timer LED goes off when power supply is turned off, if the unit is operated under a breakdown condition, the LED will ON again.
  • In operation after breakdown repair, the Timer LED will not blink. The last error code (abnormality) will be stored
    in IC memory.
14.2.2 To Make a Diagnosis

  1. 1 Timer LED starts to blink and the unit automatically stops the operation.
  2. 2 Press the CHECK button on the remote control continuously for 5 seconds.
  3. 3 "- -" will be displayed on the remote control display.
Note: Display only for "- -" (No signal transmission, no receiving sound and no Power LED blinking)
  4. 4 Press the TIMER ? or ? button on the remote control. The code "H00" (no abnormality) will be displayed and signal will be transmit to the main unit.
  5. 5 Each press of the button (? or ?) will increase error code number and transmit error code signal to the main unit.
  6. 6 When the latest abnormality code on the main unit and code
transmitted from the remote control are matched, Power LED will
light up for 30 seconds and a "beep" sound (continuously for 4
seconds) will be heard. If no codes are matched, Power LED will light up for 0.5 seconds and no sound will be heard.
  7. 7 The breakdown diagnosis mode will be canceled unless pressing the CHECK button continuously for 5 seconds or operating the unit for 30 seconds.
  8. 8 The LED will be off if the unit is turned off or the RESET button on the main unit is pressed.
14.2.3 To Display Memorized Error Code (Protective Operation)
  1. 1 Turn power on.
  2. 2 Press the CHECK button on the remote control
  3. 3 "- -" will be displayed on the remote control display. Note: Display only for "- -" (No signal transmission, no receiving sound and no Power LED blinking)
  4. 4 Press the TIMER ? or ? button on the remote control. The code "H00" (no abnormality) will be displayed
and signal will be transmit to the main unit.
  5. 5 Each press of the button (? or ?) will increase error code number and transmit error code signal to the main
    unit.
  6. 6 When the latest abnormality code on the main unit and code transmitted from the remote control are matched,
Power LED will light up for 30 seconds and a "beep" sound (continuously for 4 seconds) will be heard. If no
codes are matched, Power LED will light up for 0.5 seconds and no sound will be heard.
  7. 7 The breakdown diagnosis mode will be canceled unless pressing the CHECK button continuously for 5
seconds or operating the unit for 30 seconds.
  8. 8 The same diagnosis can be repeated by turning power on again.
14.2.4 To Clear Memorized Error Code after Repair (Protective Operation)

  1. 1 Turn power on (in standby condition).
  2. 2 Press the AUTO button for 5 seconds (a "beep" sound is heard) on the main unit to operate the unit at Forced Cooling Operation Mode.
  3. 3 Press the CHECK button on the remote control for about 1 second with a pointed object to transmit signal to
main unit. A "beep" sound is heard, and the Error Code is cleared

Tv turns on and back off

Most of these sets have a self check----if Green power light comes on for a few seconds and goes off on the front of the set press and hold both the menu and input (source) buttons at same time for at least 5 seconds and release both.

Power light will blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks, 2 blinks a pause and repeat it for a total of 5 times.

Let me know if you get a error code and what it is.

Unplugging power from the set clears the error code so if that has been done you will have to try to turn set on, let it fail and then do the self check again.

How do i program my remote

Hello;

Without knowing the codes for the specific brand names and models of your devices, this is how you program the Zenith MBR3447 for your TV, VCR, DVD Player, CD Player or Audio Receiver:

TV

1. Push the "Power" button on the TV to turn it on.
2. Press and hold the "PRG" button in the upper left corner of the remote. Release when the indicator light, located in the top center of the remote control, comes on.
3. Push the "TV" mode key located at the top of the remote.
4. Enter 0 -- 0 -- 0 on the remote's number pad, then press the "Enter" button.
5. Aim the remote control in the direction of the TV's IR sensor and push the "Power" button. Pause a second. If the TV fails to shut off, push the "Power" button again. Repeat until the TV does shut off. Each time the "Power" button is pressed the Zenith MBR3447 tries using a different TV device code from its code library to turn the TV off. Therefore, when the TV finally does shut off it's an indication that the remote is temporarily programmed with the correct device code to control the brand of TV you're using.
6. Press "Enter" to save the current code.

VCR

1. Push the "Power" button on the VCR to turn it on.
2. Press and hold the "PRG" button in the upper left corner of the remote. Release when the indicator light, located in the top center of the remote control, comes on.
3. Push the "VCR" mode key located at the top of the remote.
4. Enter 0 -- 0 -- 0 on the remote's number pad, then press the "Enter" button.
5. Aim the remote control in the direction of the VCR's IR sensor and push the "Power" button. Pause a second. If the VCR fails to shut off, push the "Power" button again. Repeat until the VCR does shut off. Then press "Enter."

DVD Player, CD Player or Audio Receiver

1. Push the "Power" button on the device your programming the remote to control to manually turn it on.
2. Press and hold the "PRG" button in the upper left corner of the remote. Release when the indicator light, located in the top center of the remote control, comes on.
3. Push the "AUX" mode key located at the top of the remote.
4. Enter 0 -- 0 -- 0 on the remote's number pad, then press the "Enter" button.
5. Aim the remote control in the direction of the device's IR sensor and push the "Power" button. Pause a second. If the device fails to shut off, push the "Power" button again. Repeat until the device does shut off. Then press "Enter."

Error Code 6A80 on the Canon MX700

Supply Guy,
Here is the solution.
I am going to describe 4 buttons on your printer. Then, I will tell you what to do with these buttons to resolve this error.
1. Look for the Black & White selection button (large white button w/ black diamond on it).
2. Look for small pink button (bottom left corner of your printer control panel).
3. Look for the OK button (big button in middle).
4. Look for the On/Off button (top left).

OK - here we go. With the printer turned off, do this:
1. Using four fingers, one on each of the four buttons, press them all and hold them down for 10 seconds.
2. Release the On/Off button - but keep holding the other 3.
3. After a few more seconds the printer will turn on. When it does this, you can release the other three buttons.

So, to summarize, you press all 4 buttons for 10 seconds, release the power button and wait for the printer to turn on. After it is on, let go the other 3.

Your error message should go away. If you don't hold the buttons all down simultaneously, the printer could go into Fax mode; just turn it off and try again.

Mitsubishi projection tv picture and sound turn off but the power button remains on with no picture or sound turn tv off real quick and then back on and works for 2 mins then turns off again what could be...

Here's the basic troubleshooting:

  1. Make sure that no front panel buttons are inadvertently stuck in an "engaged" position.
  2. Disconnect ALL devices from the TV.
  3. Press the SYSTEM RESET button and hold for 10 seconds. Proceed if the problem still exist.
  4. Press and hold POWER and MENU buttons simultaneously for 20 seconds. Proceed if the problem still exist.
  5. Unplug the TV from it's power source for various times, ranging between 5 minutes and 24 hours.
  6. If it still shuts down, press the DEVICE and MENU buttons on the front panel simultaneously and hold it for 5 seconds to activate the Error Code Operational Check. The status LED indicator will then flash denoting a two digit code.
  7. Count the number of flashes then pauses for about a half second then flashes again. The first number of flashes indicates the first digit of the error code and the second number of flashes indicates the second digit of the code. For example, if the error code is "35", the LED will flash 3 times, pauses, then flashes 5 times. The error code is repeated a total of 5 times.
Please let me know the code you got and I'll tell where the problem lies and how to fix it.

Will not turn on, 3 seconds after pushing power button turns off again. Thanks!

Engage the self diagnostic feature that this set has:

after set shuts off; On front of set push and hold both the Menu and Input buttons in together for 5 seconds and release both buttons.

The power light should blink a two digit error code (it will repeat it about 10 times) for example: two blinks, a pause, and two blinks (this is the most common error code)

Let me know what the error code is and I will tell you what it means
