Question about Solis Palazzo Espresso Machine

1 Answer

Blowing circuit When my palazzo goes to actually brew the espresso it blows any circuit it's plugged into (I have a new kitchen so I know the outlets are good). My local (lame) repair center can't do anything because they can't order any parts. He said water is leaking within the machine which is causing it to short circuit. Where can he order the necessary parts???

Re: blowing circuit

Most of the part in your machine is that Saeco use in thier machines, i think the boiler is the same.

How do you avoid blowing the kitchen fuse with espresso machine

It shouldn't draw so much power that the fuse blows - there is an electrical fault within the machine, your kitchen circuits are doing exactly what they are designed to do, protect you and your property from faulty electrical equipment.
It would be nice if you could solve the issue yourself for no cost, but unfortunately you need to take it to a qualified service technician who will quote for replacement and installation of the faulty components that are causing the fuse to blow.

Our Magic Comfort plus is 4 years old and it keeps blowing the gfi instantly when I plug it in. I have had this problem occassionally in the past and it resolves after one or two gfi trips. Now if tripo...

The problem believe it or not your gfi is warn out. I am actually surprised it lasted as long as it has and surprised it worked at all. Espresso machines use a huge amount of power when turning on compared to maintaining power. When espresso machines first turn on the take a huge surge of power to start heating up the elements. Normally you want to put an espresso on a circuit /outlet that is directly to your breaker that is at least a 20 amp breaker. By code kitchens and bathrooms, where an outlet is near water, has to have a gfi outlet, this is for safety for something plugged in near water so it will trip if accident happens with appliance near water. The bad news there not to good with high demand power appliances such as espresso machines. Yes , you can replace the gfi circuit, by turning off main breaker, unscrew gfi from wall, pull out, and undo wires, and copy exactly when re-wiring the new one. Then turn on main breaker again. NOTE: you can buy a gfi all most any home improvement center, lowers, home depot, ace hardware etc.... Think of a gfi kind of like a advanced in line fuse, they do wear out. BUT AGAIN, my advice is plug it in a outlet that does not have gfi and is on a main breaker of at least 20 amps if you have that opportunity to do in your kitchen area. Hope this helps you, thank you....... MIKE

I have a Solis Palazzo machine. My question is:

HI When was the last time you descaled? This can have a temp lowering effect if you don't descale on a regular basis. Program you water hardness so its set on 4. This will tell you when you have to descale. Descals is not the same as cleaning. Its a special acid that disolves the deposits inside the boiler.

Woke up this morning and the coffeemaker did not auto brew. Now it won't brew at all. Dead? Nothing happening.

For starters, try plugging something else into that outlet, like a hair blow dryer to make sure your circuit breaker didn't kick off for some reason.

If you have power there plug your coffee maker in again and see. if it works, great. If not, you are probably going to be money ahead to just replace it as the cost of shipping and a repair won't be much less.

Of course if it is less than a year old you may have a warranty on it which would make it worth contacting Cuisinart Customer Service.

Keurig coffee maker causes kitchen electricity to short out.

I'm not completely certain what the problem is because it's not displaying your whole subject (it get's cut off after electricity to...). However, if it is solving the problem by moving it out of the kitchen, it's likely that the problem that the circuit is overloaded. Coffee makers have a large current draw, as do many other kitchen appliances. If you plug too many of them into the same circiut and then turn them on, you will put too high a drain on the circuit and it will cause the the current to become unreliable and then, eventually, through the braker or blow the fuse to protect the wiring in the wall (to keep it from catching fire). If this is the case, you need an electrician to run another circuit or remove some appliances from your kitchen.

Saeco Royal water leaks out and now blows wall plug if plugged in

Clean behind the brew group - pull out the brew group and use a pipe clean in the little water weep hole in the back. then use pipe clean down from above the weep hole - it will be full of very wet coffee grounds.
