Re: will not turn on

Yes i have a 37"protron too, when i move i had it on the wall as well. the same problem started when i put the stand back on .what i been doing to survive is keep pushin the turn on button on every time it clips to red.this game goes on for 5mn plus.each time the t.v stay on alittle longer until it pops on.this is not the fix answer but prolonging the inevitable that it needs to go to the t.v repair t.v flim is running down the left side like a black small cloud.where that dude with the glassses who was on shopnbc talkin smack how great it was..dont get me wrong the picture for hdmi is great, but the longevity ****.for at least this model

My tv is on Dish network, and I cannot find a way to program my dish remote as protron is not listed in my manual

Hello!!!! This sounds like a new brand that we just may not have the codes for yet. But try this power scan, which will scan the tv for the right code. It is quick and simple, and I hope it helps!

1. Hold down the Clear TV button until all lights at the top of the remote light up
2. Press the red TV POWER button
3. Press and release the up arrow on the remote about once a second until the tv turns off.
4. When it turns off, press the # (Pound) button
5. Try powering the tv on/off, and try the volume. If one or more of these functions do not work, start over at step 1 again.

No power light.

First make sure it does have at least red indicator on the front panel, if not, the standby +5vdc is not working, common problem with this monitor is dead power supply due to bad caps, shorted transistor and Zener Diode in the standby power supply.
