I repeatedly get a paper jam inside the unit. I've used canned air to clean it out, the toner is pretty new, I can't figure out what the problem is!

We had this problem with 2 of our mfc 8660 printers - we finally took a thick piece of cardboard and manually pushed it though the bottom of the paper feed - alternating between front and back did the trick, got the little piece of paper out.

Sometimes you have to actually turn the thing upside down to remove a piece of paper. It can be so tiny and cause a "paper jam". Look on the back of your printer and see if there is a "lock" door. If so, you may be able to get it out through there.

HL 2140. How do you remove jammed paper from inside printer

Hi there,
You can remove the jammed paper by removing the drum and toner inside the printer.
First Open the front cover, just pull down the cover right above the brother logo. You will see the handle for the drum and toner. Hold the handle and pull it towards you, just use a little force on it. Then remove the jammed paper inside. Just to be sure you can remove the toner from the drum by holding down the green tab on the side of the drum unit. then pull the toner out. Check if there's a small piece of paper inside the drum unit. Put the toner back to the drum make sure it clicks into place. Reinstall the drum and toner back to the printer. It should also click into place. Then close the cover.
Hope this helps. Rate if it works. Thanks

Just copy file..always jam..messagge"papper jam

Causes for paper jams in Printers are given below:

* Dust or debris
* Rotating drum problem
* Toner or fuser complaint

Dust or debris

One of the main causes for paper jams is the presence of dirt, dust, or debris in your toner cartridge. The paper coming into the cartridge would get stuck. So clean your printer regularly. Remove the dust from the printer. Also find out whether any jams occurred in the sensor hole in the upper part of the rotating drum. Do not touch the roller while cleaning. If the oil in your body gets into the roller, the printing media cannot roll over it properly and you can't get rid of the printer problem.

Rotating drum problem

If there is no direct symptom of paper jam and still you cannot do printing properly, find whether it is because of drum problem. If the paper gets into the end gear of the rotating drum and gets stuck there, you cannot access the printing function. Switch off your printer and check the plastic arms of the printer drum. If there is any paper piece jammed in any of the arms, you can't continue printing. Here also cleaning is the best method to solve the problem. While cleaning, check the arms of the rotating drum.

Toner or fuser complaint

Toner complaint may also cause paper jams. It can be solved only by replacing it. When you switch on the loop back plug in, two flash lights appear; then it indicates paper jam. The oil spillage in toner can cause this problem. If the toner cartridge is not functioning properly, the same problem would be the result. The diodes or transistors in the fuser unit of the printer may get damaged and this can lead to fuser complaints. To solve this problem, you should replace it.

Paper jam light will not go off and there is not paper jam in the unit.

Over time paper dust and toner residue can build up around the drum and paper feeder rollers. Open your printer and remove the toner cartridge and Drum unit. Use a soft brush to clean any residue. Replace toner cartridge and drum unit.
A tiny bit of paper can cause the paper jam light to stay lit.

I have a total of 10 HP Color LaserJet 4650 printers, and 7 of them have the following problem: they jam at the fuser whenever a full-color picture, photo, or slide is sent to print (especially ones with...

This jamming has to do with third-party toner cartridges being used. I had this problem using Xerox toner cartridges and found that I would have no jamming if I used at least 2 hp-brand toner cartridges and the rest Xerox. I then used a different brand of 3rd party toner cartridges that would not jam as long as just the black cartridge was a genuine HP black toner cartridge. This issue has been confirmed even by the manufacturers of the generic toner cartridges. Hope that helps!

Samsung scx-5315f printer giving error paper jam 2 inside .

If you have taken apart the printer and checked where all the paper could have jammed up, use compressed air first on the printer. Then, check your toner cartridge. I know on my HP I had a sample toner cartridge and I put another one into the printer. It either was damaged or scratched, etc. and it caused the printer to not respond.

MFC 7420 front paper jam

First you need to clean up your printer with duster and after thatn, check the toner and drum to see any paper jam or anything wrong,
Normally after you clean up the machine, should working fine,
if still not working, please replace the rubber roll.

Paper light flashing

What worked for me was to clean the drumunit; take the toner out of the drum unit and clean between the plastic housing and the drum. Dust heaps up and presumably makes the toner rotate more difficult.
I just used a piece of folded paper and blew the rest out..

My New ML-2010 creates a loud annoying sound!

Ok, it is good you checked for paper jams. I need you to look inside the unit where the paper roller is on both sides and see if both sides look even and the same. It still sounds like a jam to me, and this would definitely create a loud sound as your unit is trying to print for you and the mechanism will keep trying to turn even if it can't. Something may snap or break if there is a jam so make extra extra sure you check every nook and cranny as jams can be so very tiny. I found a piece the size of a matstick width in mine that my toddler had posted in it, and it was caught in the paper roller teeth inside the unit. When you open your printer, does the cartridge holder roll by itself to the left or stay still??? Take out the toner cartridge and thoroughly clean inside with solution and replace.
