Question about Frigidaire Gallery GLEFM397DS Electric Kitchen Range

1 Answer

Hi, I just purchased a second hand Frigidaire Gallery Professional Series stove/oven. I have experience installing gas stoves having put in my previous Kenmore. I did notice that the enclosed gas line on the Frigidaire was thicker as was the coupling. I installed all, checking for leaks. After which I put the gas back on only to discover that the flame was barely visible on the stove top. All 4 burners did ignite but the flame was very low. Likewise, the oven heated but it took 1/2 an hour to reach the 350 degree setting.I cut the gas, checked the line and reconnected,. I also saw that on the back of the stove where the line connects to a small box, there was a little switch. I tried moving that switch back and forth. Having tried all these things, the flame remained low. Have I missed something? Can you recommend a solution?

My frigidaire gallery series oven made a popping noise while heating up dinner in oven and now the whole oven is not working

Hello jnjpelli - Try resetting the unit by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and restart the unit. If the oven does not turned on, then more than likely there seems to be a power supply issue. Also try checking the breaker and the power connections located on the back of the range. If any of these suggestions prove to be ineffective, connect with a professional to accurately pinpoint any potentially more serious issues

Hello arab125 - I understand that the timer and clock works fine, however from what you have described it sounds like the range could possibly have a wiring failure, faulty sensor, or an issue with the EOC. I would suggest contacting a professional to move forward accurately.

Frigidaire Gallery stove top spark module is firing once every 30 seconds when turned off.

ok - this is a question regarding a stove - not a fridge - as indicated.

:D

If the ignitors on a gas stove top continuously spark and only stop when the electricity is turned off the problem may be a stuck relay.
Turn off the electricity (unplug) for a long period of time perhaps overnight. Sometimes the relay will automatically reset.
