If you needed to enter a password when you set up the laptop or desktop then there is a password if not then no i'd have them hook the phones up to itunes and update the software on them thats been a recent problem with those products thats fixed in the latest software

They should be able to. if your home network is secure it will require a password. there will most likely be an icon of a lock by the home network you choose. if not then your iphones can not accept the signal your router is putting out.
If that is the case you will need to go through the steps to change it so you can.

Can I hook my wifi laptop to my desktop and get online?

Hi there, you may be able to connect them together using an ethernet cable. When you do this you may need to bridge the connections to make them work. Once you have the ethernet cable connected go into network and sharing centre, then into change adapter settings. Hold the ctrl button and click (once) both of the adapter icons, then right click and select "Bridge Connections" This should sort your problem. (I am assuming that you are running windows machines)

I hope this helps.

The only computer I have is a Dell Insprion E1505 laptop and it is connected to a "COMCAST" cable modem. Windows XP, not Vista is installed. I purchased a LINKSYS WRT54G wireless router. I installed the setup disk and connected the modem to the router, and the router to the computer as step one, but when step two had me disconnect the router from the laptop so it could connect via wireless network, it just says "easylink advisor could not establish a wireless connection with the router
two laptops, a desktop PC and my son has Xbox live. I recently bought the Linksys wireless-g router with speed boost and that didn't work. If any of the laptops were on, the other wouldn't work and my son's Xbox live would lag. I was thinking about exchanging it for the Linsys wireless-N broadband router but then I read the reviews and they were horrible. I need something of that sort but something that isn't known for being unreliable and dying.
I bought the Turtle Beach X41 Headset, and it is causing some problems with my wireless connection. Due to a number of reasons, it is not possible to directly hook up my 360 to my modem. So, if I bought a new router that can operate on a 802.11a frequency, would that help or not? My current router is a Linksys Wireless G, 2.4GHz, router. Microsoft has said that an 802.11a frequency router could fix problems with other wireless electronics. If it would help, which router should I buy? I've read a few reviews for the Linksys WGA54AG 802.11a, and everyone says it doesn't work good. Any suggestions on another brand
i tink with these you can do some thing

the printer and Wii may not recognise WPA security type. change the security type to 64bit WEP. in ur router u'll have WPS(wi fi protected set up) , u need to disable it. this will make ur printer and Wii work.

If your son has a laptop/PC that is near to his 360 you can just use the Ethernet cable supplied and plug it into the Xbox and Laptop/PC and that will work

Sierra Wireless AirCard 595U And PS3

I understand that you want to connect the PS3 using the Wireless card and NETGEAR card. Please note that the setup you have will not work for internet access. You can not configure the Air card to work with NETGEAR router. you need to have wih a broadband connection available for this router to connect to internet.

Once you have the router configured with Internet access then you may either connect the PS3 wired or wireless to the router, like you connect a desktop or laptop to the router.

are you using wifi connection, I mean wireless connection or you're hooking up to a LAN network or through a modem connection?  If all this connection wouldn't worked out anymore, try reinstalling your Operating System!

Wireless router

I have a friend that works at 2 wire. I've bought a couple of their products. And I'm a computer geek. Unless I miss my guess it shouldn't matter what is plugged into it, be it laptop or desktop. It may be locked down to the MAC address on the NIC, but I doubt it. Anyway you'd just browse to it's embedded webpage and change the setting. The IP address is the same as the gateway address on the laptop plugged into it.

I think I bought that model for my dad but I can't remember the exact model number on it. Anyway the one I bought, and set up for my Dad, I had several different computers hooked up to it and never had a problem.

D-Link wireless router and Belkin Wireless G USB Network adapter

Set your wireless network as a preferred network and to automatically connect to it. Also set it at the top of the list so that it takes precedence. If you continue to get conflicts, change the channel of the router.
