Cannon MG5320 PLUGGED INTO HOT OUTLET WON'T TURN ON?

Try the following:

1) Be sure the electrical plug is pushed in completely into the back of the printer.

2) Press the ON button and HOLD IT DOWN until you see the blue LED light on the front middle of the upper lid.

3) If there is no blue LED, there is no electrical getting to the printer.

4) Unplug printer and after a few minutes, replug it into another outlet that you know is working (use an outlet that already has something plugged in so you know it is working, such as a radio)

5) Press the ON button and see if the the blue LED comes on, if yes, it is your outlet. If not, it is possibly a bad electrical cord you are using something inside the printer is broken.

6) You asked about opening the second cover, I assume you mean the part were the ink cartridges go, once the top cover is opened, there is a small "release lever" on the right hand side corner, near the front that you can push back and lift the second cover.

7) Go to the CANON WEB SITE link listed below and select MANUAL for PC or MAC and check it for possible informtion to assist you in using your printer.

Power could not start by pressing power button but power is coming as the blinking is done for once when connected to power

Solution one: Make sure the electrical outlet works
  1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet.
  2. Plug another appliance into the electrical outlet to make sure the outlet works.
    • If the electrical outlet does not work , plug the product into another outlet that does work.
    • If the electrical outlet works, but the product still does not turn on , continue to the next step.
Solution two: Make sure the power supply is compatible with the HP product

Follow these steps to test the power on the product.
  1. Reconnect the power supply to the rear of the product.
  2. Press and quickly release the Power button (c01602202.gif ) to start a Power On/Off cycle. Do not hold the button down. Figure 1: Press and quickly release the Power buttonc01896071.gif c01733891.gif If you press and hold the Power button too long, the product might turn on and then off without restarting. If this happens, press and quickly release the Power button (c01602202.gif ) again.
  • If these steps resolved the issue , there is no need to continue troubleshooting.
  • If the issue persists , see the next step.
Solution four: Test the power with a compatible power cord from a different product If you have another available power cord that is compatible with your product, use the alternate cord to repeat the steps in Solution three: Reset the power module and test the power .
  • If the product turns on with the alternate power cord, the original power cord caused the issue. Contact HP to replace the power cord. Right-click the following link, How to Buy HP , to buy a compatible power cord.
  • If the product does not turn on with the alternate power cord, continue to the next step.
Solution five: Service the HP product If you have completed all the steps listed above and are still experiencing a problem, service the product.

How di I reset the ink counter on a canon mp620?

I found this at fixyourownprinter.com. Seems it works on most mp models and may work on your 620.

1) With the printer power turned off, while pressing the Resume/Cancel button, press and hold the Power button. (DO NOT release the buttons. The Power LED lights in green to indicate that a function is selectable.)
2) While holding the Power button, release the Resume/Cancel button. (DO NOT release the Power button.)
3) While holding the Power button, press the Resume/Cancel button 2 times, and then release both the Power and Resume/Cancel buttons. (Each time the Resume/Cancel button is pressed, the Alarm and Power LEDs light
alternately, Alarm in orange and Power in green, starting with Alarm LED.)
4) When the Power LED lights in green, press the Resume/Cancel button the specified number of time(s) according to the function listed in the table below. (Each time the Resume/Cancel button is pressed, the Alarm and
Power LEDs light alternately, Alarm in orange and Power in green, starting with Alarm LED.) [hth: I believe the power button has to be pressed once more after cycling the alarm button to complete the action. The power/resume-cancel button LEDs toggle to help you count.]

Time(s) LED indication Function Remarks
0 times Green (Power) Power off When the print head is not installed, the
carriage returns and locks in the home position capped.
1 time Orange (Alarm) Service test print See 3-4. Verification Items, (1) Service test print.

See 3-4. Verification Items, (2) EEPROM information print.

Note: If the Resume/Cancel button is pressed 16 or more times, the Alarm or Power LED lights steadily without
any changes.

My PIXMA MP620 printr went OFFLINE. No power but everything is plugged in: power, connection to computer. Any help?

could be an issue with many things. First, try unplugging from the computer and plug the printer into another outlet (on a different circuit). Next, if that doesnt work, try a different power cord (if available). If neither works, than I would say a bad power module on the circuit board of the printer.
