I saved some of the small plastic containers that margarine comes in ( I like Country Crock ) lol But any small plastic container with a lid would work. I poked holes in the lids and put the mothballs in the containers and placed the containers in different cupboards and closets throughout the camper. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Another thing that I do is use sheet plastic under the trailer during winter storage. This seems to help reduce moisture and condenstion in the RV. I also toss a few of those mothballs around on top of the plastic. It seems to deter rodents like mice from entering the trailer, especially during winter time storage. Best wishes.

How do we turn on outside speakers. Speakers are there so assume the system comes with internal.external speakers.

As your silver fox edition camper would come with a branded audio/ CD equipment it might be best to provide the make and model number of the equipment. This item is not described in the camper manual. See page 16 in this manual.

I DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A REFRIGERATOR AND A SLIDE ON A CAMPER

A slide on a camper usually refers to a pull-out (or slide-out) section, ordinarily for the purpose of providing additional living space once you're parked & set up. Possible the confusion comes from the fact that some campers are configured with the refrigerator installed in a slide-out section, i.e., the galley section (kitchen section).

Does not work well in warmer areas i.e. camper/ garage

Basically installing a small 12 v cooling fan to improve airflow in behind the fridge. A lot of computer cooling fans are 12 VDC , right size, and nice and quiet.

I just bought a 1976 Chevy with an Open Road camper on it that goes over the cab. It seems that Open Road Campers Inc. does not exist anymore. I don't have a manual for it (the camper) and can't find...

Is it a slide in camper? and if so there should be jacks that go at the 4 corners above the truck box. you lift the camper up slightly and drive the truck out from under the camper. The jacks could have been removed and stored in the camper under a bench seet in the dinett.

Auxiliary battery use

The extra battery is there because of the glow plugs and intake heater of the duramax. During cold weather both of these systems draw high amperage from the batteries. A single battery will function, but not as well as a pair.

Epson dx8400

Unfortunately your only option at present is to take the printer to an Epson Service center and have it serviced to replace the waste ink absorbers/pads.

If you can afford to wait you could mothball (store) the printer and wait for a reset utility to become available for your model printer. Once you have that you could then install an external waste ink kit (google: waste ink epson).

At present though your options are very limited.

Hope that helps.

Sirius satellite radio

You will need to get another sat antenna, and locate it somewhere either above the camper, or where the camper does not obstruct the antenna. Any store that sells sat radio equipment (Fry's, Best Buy, etc) will have the micro antenna. Install it either on the hood of the truck, or on top of the camper. You will need to run the antenna to the rear of the dash. They make Y couplers that will allow you to run both the OEM antenna and the extermal antenna at the same time, and it will not hurt the system to have both wired in at the same time.
